LONDON — British Prime Minister Boris Johnson officially kicks off his election campaign on Wednesday with a promise to "get Brexit done" in contrast to his main rival, whom he compared to Soviet leader Josef Stalin.
Britons go to the polls on Dec. 12 after Parliament agreed to an early election last week, seeking to end three years of deep disagreement over Brexit that has sapped investors' faith in the stability of the world's fifth-largest economy and damaged Britain's international standing.
