The Telegraph: Exclusive: Hamas plots attacks on Israel from Turkey as Erdogan turns blind eye
Turkey is allowing senior Hamas operatives to plot attacks against Israel from Istanbul, The Telegraph can disclose, as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan plays host to the terrorist group’s leaders.
Transcripts of Israeli police interrogations with suspects show that senior Hamas operatives are using Turkey’s largest city to direct operations in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank, including an assassination attempt earlier this year on the mayor of Jerusalem.
Israel has repeatedly told Turkey that Hamas is using its territory to plan attacks, but last weekend Mr Erdogan met Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas, and Turkish intelligence agents maintain close contact with the group’s operatives in Istanbul. "We will keep on supporting our brothers in Palestine," Mr Erdogan said.
Turkey is already facing questions from Western allies over its support for extremist rebels in northern Syria and over its commitment to Nato after buying a Russian missile system.

So when are the Israelis going to attack, or, are they afraid that if they do they will face the wrath of NATO?
Russia, Egypt and Israel are going to support General Khalifa Haftar.
They are going to make sure any benefit gained by Turks from Libyan combat experience will be offset, erased, or overwhelmed by Turkish losses.
The US talking to Khalifa Haftar and might switch sides or remain neutral. Democrats can cry, whine and throw fits, but it won't help. If they make too big of an issue about Libya, the record of Obama's "smart war" will come up for review.
Americans do not want to get involved in Libya.
Initially, Obama resisted getting involved in Libya, then Samantha Power, the French PM, and Italian PM talked him into it. Obama picked up a few pieces buy buying up Russian manpads, but sent a percentage over to Syria. Other than taking a few manpads off the market, all Obama did was violate "The Pottery Barn Rule" and the dishonorable Colin Powell said nary a word.
PS: I wonder why the valiant Samantha Power decided to accept the cush United Nations job instead of helping the people of Libya for whom she felt so much passion?
