China Coronavirus Death Toll Doubles To 17 With 521 Cases Confirmed Worldwide

Daily Mail: Mexico may have its first coronavirus case as the contagious illness that has killed 17 spreads from China to at least 531 people around the world

* Mexican officials are investigating the country's first possible case of the new coronavirus, President Andrews Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Wednesday
* As of Wednesday, 521 worldwide have caught the viral illness
* Cases have been confirmed in Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the US, which reported its first patient, a man in his 30s in Washington state, on Tuesday
* One person in Australia is reportedly in isolation and may have the virus
* If the Mexico case is confirmed, it will be the sixth country outside of China -where all 17 deaths have occurred - bolstering fears of a pandemic

Health officials in Mexico are investigating the country's first possible case of the deadly coronavirus spreading from China, President Andrews Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Wednesday.

He said that the patient is located in Tamaulipas, a region that boarders the southern tip of Texas.

'It's being dealt with' President Obrador said in a press conference.
