Military Times: Milley says Iran launched ballistic missiles intending to kill
The Pentagon’s top military adviser believes that when Iran launched missiles at two Iraqi coalition bases on Tuesday night, they were looking for casualties.
Army Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told reporters Wednesday at the Pentagon that it’s his assessment Iran missed its intended targets at the Al Asad and Erbil air bases, contradicting reports that the victimless strike was meant to make a point but offer Iran a chance to deescalate tensions.

Gulf War I Saddam was kicked out of Kuwait. President George H. W. Bush limited the scope of the war. One reason is that allies like Syria would have pulled out if we would have went further.
Gulf War II Saddam was deposed. He no longer rules. He is no longer alive. He was executed by the Iraqi government that the US constituted with a constitution and fair elections. You remember the purple fingers?
In Afghanistan the Taliban have been out of power for 19 years. They ran back to their Pakistani masters. Columbia grew cocaine for the foreign market o it was okay. Now Columbia has a cocaine problem. The Pakistanis started the Taliban to take over Afghanistan. Now there is a Pakistani Taliban. BLOWBACK.

Why yes, if anyone were in those structures they would have been killed. Luckily for our forces and for Iran as well, Iran was kind enough to transmit their target list and launch window - thereby allowing US forces to remove themselves from the the areas of bases that were targeted.
I guess it would've been much more satisfying (to certain sick fools) if Iran targeted the Green zone, or the US Embassy. Then there would have been lots of dead Americans to gloat over. And likely a massive missile and bomb barrage on Iran.

If you gauge winning by still having forces in Iraq, for the time being, to blow s#%t up in the region, yeah we won. Turned out just great.

Per what I heard on the Ben Shapiro show
The Iraq parliament wants both the US and Iran in Iraq so that one does not become dominant. The Iraqi people are sure and hell are mad at Iraq. The Sunnis and Kurds are for obvious reasons, but many of the Shia are as well. Iran is losing big time.
The resistance is against Iran. The Iraqi Kurds know what the Iranians are doing next door in Iran and Syria. It is the Iranian who funded Al Qaeda and the Shia paramilitaries. Soon Iran will pay for those crimes.
