US Senate Democrats Will Not Support Measure Praising U.S. Military For Soleimani Killing

Washington Free Beacon: Senate Dems Won’t Support Measure Praising U.S. Military for Soleimani Killing

Not a single Democratic member of the Senate has lent their support to a Republican-driven congressional effort to praise the U.S. military and intelligence community members who helped carry out the successful strike that killed Iranian terror leader Qassem Soleimani.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) and 42 of his GOP colleagues in the Senate earlier this week forwarded a resolution honoring American military and intelligence community members who helped conduct the raid that killed Iran's chief terror mastermind.

I really think the Democrats don't care any more. If a Democrat did it they probably receive praise.

Why should anyone support such nonsense?

"Why of course, we must abase ourselves before the military. A military budgeted at almost a $trillion a year, run by incompetent boobs and welfare clowns who can't, despite all that largesse, win any war."

But yes, yeah troops.

Obama green lighted killing Osama. 1005 of senators approved.

Soleimani killed as many Americans. Democrat senators voted on party lines.

So the resolution is going to give to praise some flying robots? Can they accept praise? Can they say thanks?

Soleimani was travelling in the open. Did some heroes in intelligence watch the arrivals board at the airport? Great work dudes.

These brave heroes rival Capt. Rogers in shooting down 655 and he got a medal for killing a bunch of civilians. Makes sense?

No anon. The resolution does not give praise to flying robots. The resolution gives praise to the controllers on the ground in Iraq. It gives praise to the pilots (drone operators). It gives praise to our spies in Syria and Iraq who identified QS as he entered/exited his plane. It gives praise to the ground forces who confirmed his death. It gives praise to the forces who defended our embassy during the initial attack by iranian proxies.

/You’re welcome.

He travelled in the open. He was welcomed as a diplomat by the Iraqi government. Our brave spies, indeed.

Thanks, Russ!

Lawful military target. An enemy general in a war zone. Declared a terrorist even by Obama. Running the largest state sponsored terrorist org on the planet. And felt totally comfortable in his hubris strolling around Baghdad.

And why wouldn’t he? Treated as untouchable for decades by smaller US leaders. Finally blown to gory bits by order of President Trump.

You can try to turn him into princess Dii if you want. Rooting for the Iranian regime like the useful idiots infesting the US House/Senate.

Lefties are always on the wrong side of history.

Wise up.

You've convinced me, Russ. I've wizened up!

I will no longer vote for congressman who approve of Persian princesses.

You never have voted for a US Congress representative and as far as wizened you have little worries.

"He was welcomed as a diplomat by the Iraqi government. "

Yeah and the some of the Iraqi leaders, who welcomed him had an Iranian gun to their head

The Iraqis know, who have paid Sunni and Shia terrorists killers from 2003 until now.
