The Hill: Pelosi urges end to 'needless provocations' after Iran missile attack
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Tuesday night called for an end to “needless provocations” from the Trump administration shorty after Iran claimed responsibility for launching unspecified projectiles at a military base housing U.S. troops in Iraq.
“Closely monitoring the situation following bombings targeting U.S. troops in Iraq,” Pelosi tweeted. “We must ensure the safety of our service members, including ending needless provocations from the Administration and demanding that Iran cease its violence.”
She added that America and the world “cannot afford war.”

Senator Lindsey Graham says Iran missile strikes on American forces in Iraq is 'an act of war' and that Trump has 'all the authority' he needs to respond (Daily Mail).

The man to watch now is Sadr in Iraq.
What many do not see or pretend not to want to see, including the administrator, is that it was the United States that started this climb when it came out of the deal with Iran. In that Pelosi is right, what Trump does is nothing but bullying. Other than that, let's not forget that the US presence in Iraq is based on a lie. ISIS has been beaten and if not, Iran would be a great partner to eradicate it because it is also its deadly enemy. What Pelosi is trying to say is that the missiles have not landed on US bases from scratch, and that's right, whether we like it or not.
Sen. Graham thinks the US can just bomb Iran into submission without suffering any reprisals as if Iran were Kosovo or Nicaragua.

Lindsey Graham is to be taken as a serious player, but not as a serious leader or standard bearer. There still is the stench of McCain wafting about him. Recently it was reported that McCain worked diligently with Democrats on the dossier. It wasn't just oppo research for himself.

The only stuff verified in the dossier is publicly known stuff before its printing.
Then there is the Gang of 8 amnesty bill that Lindsey was part of. The stench of McCain is there too. The NYT might not care, but we see Mexican illegals killing people via DUI or just plain murder too often. In the local papers it is above the fold.
Lindsey is also very gruff and then does not deliver.
Who cares, if Lindsey is a hawk. I don't.
Of course it's pointless because America illegal assassinated someone in another nation, Iraq also did not give the yes to do so. By this action, they already declared war on Iran. According to the UN charter, retaliation is perfectly fine on the aggressor.

It is very wrong to invite war in an era when that war could easily expand into a nuclear holocaust. At this point in time, Iran could very well be the adult in the room.
