U.S. Intelligence Officials Told Congress That Russia Is Trying to Help President Trump Win The 2020 Election

Daily Mail: Russia is interfering AGAIN in 2020 election to help Donald Trump get a second term, intelligence officials secretly told Congress - prompting fury from president and Republicans

* Intelligence officials told Democrats and Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee that Russia is interfering in 2020 election and favors Donald Trump
* Top election security officials gave the bombshell warning at secret briefing held a week ago
* The aide - Shelby Pierson - was briefing the committee chaired by Adam Schiff, who led Donald Trump's impeachment
* She told lawmakers that Russia wants to help Trump and shatter public confidence in the electoral system
* Russia is trying to hack election infrastructure as well as running social media disinformation efforts
* Trump was furious and believed that only Schiff had been told about the warning and feared the Democrat would use the information against him
* He 'dressed down' Pierson's boss - then the acting director of national intelligence Joseph Maguire - in the Oval Office for allowing the briefing
* Maguire was replaced Wednesday by Trump ultra-loyalist Rick G

A senior intelligence official told lawmakers that Russia is interfering in the 2020 election to re-elect Donald Trump, it emerged Thursday.

The New York Times revealed that the official was part of a briefing to the House Intelligence Committee, which is chaired by Democratic Trump enemy Adam Schiff, and told lawmakers of both parties about Russia's backing for a second Trump term.

The committee members were briefed that Russia favors Trump, CNN reported, and were also told about its efforts to hack and attack election infrastructure and the Kremlin's continued attempts to use social media platforms in its campaign of distrust.

WNU Editor: This intelligence briefing was held behind closed doors, so these leaks cannot be verified. As to the claim that Russia is trying to undermine the electoral process. All that I can say is that these leaks are doing an excellent job in accomplishing that.

/Because the Russians would much rather have Trump reelected than having their Fellow Bernie Sanders installed. Who honeymooned in Moscow in 1988.

The scary part is that US Intel Services probably believe this.

I love President Grandpa. He's just like my grandpa, he watches TV all day and occasionally soils himself.

Fred Lapides is certainly triggered.

When he gets whipped in a debate, he retreats into the adult version of "I can't hear you!"

Fred is such a Sieg Heil lockstep voter that if he were in Ilhan Omar's district, he would vote for her until the end of time, if there were a 'D' behind her name.

The initial Russian interference narrative appears to have been developed by Hilary Clinton and her team to explain the situation when the candidate's internal polls revealed she was losing to Trump. Rather than admit she was being bested by a person with better ideas on a path forward for America and adjust she did what allot of people do in a similar situation. She made up excuses and invented narratives to explain away the shortcomings inherent in what she was proposing.

The media and other allies then picked up on the narrative and amplified it. I think many of them including HRC herself actually believe the nonsense now. Of course in some cases the intel community and others may be trying to gaslight Americans in general and Trump supporters in particular. Fortunately at this time at least, I think most Americans see through this and are going to make their voting decisions based upon their perceived best interests and those of America and will not be led by an irrational hatred and fear of Russia.

In general, where there's doubts between Trump's assertions or those of US Intel, we can't always know what is is happening and have to render our best judgements. Based upon the track records of US Intel of getting things consistently wrong combined with their lack of ethics demonstrated by not standing up to injustices and Trump's superlative track record in these areas, I'd tend to go with Trump's judgement over those of US Intel and their media allies.

Finally, the notion of Trump being illiterate seems ridiculous on it's face. Perhaps the evidence for this is his ability to focus on multiple tasks at once appears to be a person who is distracted. This is a mark of brilliance that is often mistaken by those of lesser capability as a person who is illiterate or not very smart. The makers of the film naturally jumped on the talking point as cover when a very bad film that received an award was called out. Of course they could have avoided this by not using the Oscars as a forum to attack Trump for no good reason. Like any good counterpuncher Trump hits back when attacked.

Had you taken the time to read my posts, you might learn somethin . As I've explained elsewhere complicated issues simply don't lend themselves well to talking points. Now if you wish to discuss any of the points I make, I'm happy to do so. Otherwise don't waste time being a troll.

BREVITY IS THE SOUL OF WIT.

... SO

B.Poster said...

Brevity and wit generally work best for simple concepts and humorous things. For example, "she is witty" or 2 + 2 = 4.

Complicated things such as geopolitical analysis, income tax accounting, and higher mathematics just name three things do not lend themselves well to brevity or wit. Very respectfully to try and apply brevity and wit to these areas seems inappropriate and lacks the seriousness that is necessary to properly address these subjects.

Is there a specific area where you think I've erred? I'm happy to address it. Otherwise this is becoming beyond counterproductive.

Your posts are usually long almost as if you are trying to kill the comment threads. Hence you have the nickname of "thread killer" as in discussion thread killer.

Not every topic lends itself to short descriptions. But the longer the description is and the more convoluted you get the ideal that maybe the person does not know what they are talking about.

I use to post long entries on Yahoo discussion threads. I could back it all up too with footnotes. I found it did not work. I went to 2 lines and it worked.

"I went to 2 lines and it worked." Now, as I have very patiently tried to explain, this works with non series topics. For complicated topics this doesn't work. Perhaps it worked for you as you are dealing in non serious topics.

"Thread killer" is witty and has brevity. As in you lack the intellectual honesty to think past precious ideologies and when challenged you need to hold onto to them. "Thread killer" is a quick (brevity) way for a non serious person not to have to address issues that are uncomfortable for them or require serious thought.

Now I feel my patience in the face of what seems to be obvious trolling has been beyond exemplary. I'm going to ask you again, what specific areas do you take exception to in my post here? I'm happy to discuss that but my time is limited and my patience with you is almost beyond exhausted. I think you've tried to kill this thread and blame me for it, projection perhaps.
