National Interest: Are China's Coronavirus Numbers Totally Bogus?
Over four months since the coronavirus began in China, the National Health Commission has announced for the second time that there are no new local cases in the country.
The pandemic of the coronavirus that has been pushing healthcare systems in the western world to their breaking point originated in the Wuhan province of China last fall. The medical consensus is that the virus was created in the bushmeat markets, where exotic animals are kept in filthy conditions and bacteria come into regular contact with people.
Over four months since the coronavirus began in China, the National Health Commission has announced for the second time that there are no new local cases in the country. Thirty-nine cases were added to the national total, although these were labeled “new imported confirmed cases.” The perception remains that the East has come through the worst of the pandemic, and the epicenter of the disease is now Europe.

WNU Editor: All that I can say is that all of my contacts in China are always skeptical on what the Beijing is saying, and some of them are former and current officials of that government. If they do not believe in what their government is saying, why should we?

Can't trust them, don't believe it.
And if it is really true, then they have unleashed this on the world on purpose, how else could they have this 'under control'...
We can trust president Grandpa. He never lies.
Plus all viruses have an ethnicity. I had a cold once that was scots-Irish.
stop being obtuse
their economy is based on selling selling selling all over the world
why would they cut off all buyers?
I don’t believe China for a second. But I do trust the South Koreans to a point. They are claiming to see a significant downturn in their infection rate. And they managed to accomplish that without tanking their entire economy.
Washington state is also seeing less infections.
"The only thing Joe Biden knows about handling a public health crisis is that the Obama White House had to apologize for his remarks that set off a panic during the swine flu outbreak in 2009," Tim Murtaugh, the Trump campaign's communication director, said in a statement.
That comment is misleading. According to fact-checking website PolitiFact, Biden, during the 2009 swine flu outbreak, said he'd advise his family to not travel in confined places like planes and that when a person on a plane sneezes, "it goes all the way through an aircraft." The comments were roundly criticized, but there is no evidence that they sparked anything resembling a panic.

The current coronavirus disease, Covid-19, has been called a once-in-a-century pandemic. But it may also be a once-in-a-century evidence fiasco.
At a time when everyone needs better information, from disease modelers and governments to people quarantined or just social distancing, we lack reliable evidence on how many people have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 or who continue to become infected. Better information is needed to guide decisions and actions of monumental significance and to monitor their impact.
Draconian countermeasures have been adopted in many countries. If the pandemic dissipates — either on its own or because of these measures — short-term extreme social distancing and lockdowns may be bearable. How long, though, should measures like these be continued if the pandemic churns across the globe unabated? How can policymakers tell if they are doing more good than harm?
Hmm... wonder why the economy is tanking? We can blame foreigners for all of America's ills (get it!), in this case, China (it's usually filthy Latinos).
Or... we can place blame where it belongs, at the feet of a bungling administration of nincompoops, led by a TV celebrity, who claimed this is just a bad kind of flu that will magically disappear when the weather warmed up.
SK and the USA got their first confirmed cases the same day, Jan. 20. One country has able, competent leadership... one doesn't.

Once the US is out from under the self-imposed destruction of this current economic slide - caused by the Chinese virus - the US will boom. Near zero interest rates, record low energy prices and a massive relocation of key industries will set the stage for a rocket-ship recovery.
It scares the Hell out of the ChiComms, Russians and other malign actors like Iran.
And of course, Western useful idiots.
The majority of American's voted for Grandpa in 2016, right?
Keep believing in that rocket ship. Or is it a V-shaped curve. The winning never ends.

He did where it mattered. It was Clinton's own fault that she didn't carry her lazy fat ass to Michigan or PA. You see Honey bunch, we have an Electoral College here in the US. Not mob rule.
And re: the forthcoming recovery, just watch.
Mob rule sure would be bad for rich white guys in the 1790's!
The electoral college outlived whatever usefulness it ever had. Which wasn't much if you weren't a wealthy, white property owner.
In the modern era, when those pesky women and colored people can vote. the EC, in a sensible society, would be abolished.
Yeah, I know, a constitutional amendment isn't happening any time soon. But it seems like a weird thing to thump your chest over. Hey, world! Look at us! we still have this antiquated, goofy mechanism for picking our leader. We're the best! Bet you guys wished you had one!
Give me a break. Show me a pure democracy in history. All are forms of Representative Democracy. Or the corrupt chaos of a parliament. You're right that an amendment is not in the cards. And for good reason.
Its typical of Democrats and leftists in general that when they lose they don't reconsider their ideas or strategy, they destroy the system. They lose an election; tear down the electoral college. They screw up their primary; cancel the primaries. The behavior is typical of all tyrants. "I win or I kill you".
/Peel the skin back of the face of any progressive, and I'll show you Pol Pot every time.

Oh my it was so terrible to live in America that all the Germans, French, Irish Scottish and others wanted to come here.
Even Santa Ana voluntarily came to America after his defeat.
Little rich kid Fidel Castro did too.
The system is set up so that you do not merely have to campaign in LA and NYC and tell the rest of the country to fuck off.
Longest running 'Democracy' of it size and that is saying a lot that is good.
Biden Actually Said This… “They Tell Me There’s Ways We Can Do Teleconferencing Via Us All Being in Different Locations”
'But the president loves saying things like, you know, 'There's a drug we've got and it's very effective. It's approved already! Everybody's gonna get it',' Maddow said.
She continued: 'He loves saying things like that because that would be a lovely thing to be able to tell people, unless of course that's not true in which case telling people a fairytale like that is cruel and harmful and needlessly diverting and wildly irresponsible from anyone in any leadership role.'
'It's actually wildly irresponsible if somebody said that to you from a bar stool, if any of us could go to bars anymore, but to get that from somebody at the presidential podium? Nevertheless, he keeps doing it,' she said.
'There is a clear pattern here in this crisis of the president promising stuff that he knows America would love to hear but it's not true. And even stuff that he's saying that he will do that the federal government will do, he's not doing,' Maddow told her viewers.
'I feel like we should innoculate ourselves against the harmful impact of these ongoing false promises and false statements by the president by recognizing that when he is talking about the coronavirus epidemic, more often than not, he is lying.,' she continued.
Trump has repeatedly hyped the malaria treatment as a possible cure for COVID-19, which has already infected nearly 20,000 people in the U.S.
The president repeatedly said he has a good "feeling" about the drug at a White House press conference Friday.
“I feel good about it. That’s all it is. Just a feeling,” he said. “You know, I'm a smart guy. I feel good about it. And we're going to see. You're going to see soon enough.”
However, Trump’s confidence over the drug flies in the face of remarks from other government officials who are less bullish over the treatment’s possible effect on the coronavirus.
When asked on Friday if hydroxychloroquine could be used to prevent COVID-19, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the government’s top infectious disease expert, replied "no."

The functionally illiterate are still among us. Learn organic or physical chemistry? Hell NO! They will just have people like Biden or Mayor Gillum whispers sweet little lies to them.
Well, Biden will, if he can remember the lies.

Fauci needs to be fired. He is a Clinton partisan. Fauci will be fired before the year is out.
Question could a functionally illiterate person point to the business end of a chloroquine molecule if shown a representation of it?
Extra good shit coming out of that guy
Okay, I lied. Technically, it was Santorum.
