Axios: Top Chinese official disowns U.S. military lab coronavirus conspiracy
In a rare interview, China's ambassador to the United States, Cui Tiankai, told "Axios on HBO" that he stands by his belief that it's "crazy" to spread rumors about the coronavirus originating from a military laboratory in the United States.
Why it matters: Cui called this exact conspiracy theory "crazy" more than a month ago on CBS' "Face the Nation." But that was before the spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zhao Lijian, began publicly promoting the conspiracy.
* The fact that Cui distanced himself from his colleague's statements sends an important signal from the top Chinese government official in the U.S.
* Top Trump officials, including the president, have expressed their outrage at Chinese officials for trying to spread the theory that the U.S. military brought the coronavirus to China. The State Department even called in Cui to take him to task.

WNU Editor: The Chinese ambassador for the U.S. is sending the message that China does not support the narrative that the Covid-19 virus responsible for the current global pandemic started in a US Army lab. Unfortunately that message is not being sent within China itself (as of this weekend).

You dropped a fact without comment. It could mean anything.
- It could mean she brought it to Wuhan.
- It could mean that the Chinese gov infected her.
- It could mean that the Chinese government is erasing records of other cases and trying to say she was the 1st.
- It could mean she ate at a restaurant in Wuhan with low hygiene standards and she was infected.
It could mean a lot of things
It is like in physics, if you gave me a particle with a certain mass but no acceleration vector and wanted me to compute the Force vector. Are you gave me a fact, the particles mass.
We do not have access to Chinese medical records so we have no one of knowing anything. Does not explain why it hit Italy so soon.
