The test as designed were usable. They all detected COVID 19.

"Instead, the CDC created its own in-depth diagnostics that could identify not only COVID-19, but a host of SARS-like coronaviruses. Then, disaster struck: When the CDC sent tests to labs during the first week of February, those labs discovered that while the kits did detect COVID-19, they also produced false positives when checking for other viruses. As the CDC went back to the drawing board to develop yet more tests, precious time ticked away."

www.popularmechanics.com/science/health/a31431716/coronavirus-tests/

What the CDC was doing was laudable, but might not have been the right call.

They could have produced thousands of these tests and ignored the rest of the assay that produced false positives. The article does not say what percentage of the test were false positives. How much alpha and beta risk are tolerable?

Why the rest of the assay failed is not given. Perhaps the CDC was being to ambitious in its one size fits all approach during a time of need.

My advice is buy Popular Mechanics. Do not buy the NYT. The NYT is not fit for bird cage liner. Instead all extent paper copies should be stored at Yucca mountain. It is the only was to keep people safe.

I can not stress this enough. Do not read the NYT without proper psychological training, It makes otherwise normal people mentally ill.

Finely Europe is showed as it is. Trump was right.

Even as health experts and mainstream reporters have grown increasingly anxious about the White House’s response to the coronavirus pandemic—and have taken to using their own Twitter accounts to share hand-washing videos and urgent warnings from doctors overseas—when Trump opens his own Twitter feed, he scrolls through something very different.

The picture Trump sees, in a nutshell: That the coronavirus crisis is someone else’s fault (China, Joe Biden, etc.), that he’s doing a great job responding to it, and that a Trump-hating media is just fanning the flames.

“The American people have seen once again that President @realDonaldTrump has no higher priority than the health and safety of the American people,” tweeted Vice President Mike Pence.

The CDC fucked-up the corona flu test kits.

They wanted to test for a COVID-19 and a bunch of other viruses. The additional test had too many false positives. How much alpha (α) and beta (β) risk, the news jocks refuse to tell us. Would it matter if the news jocks did tell us α & β ? It is not like an English major would understand or deign to understand.

There were or are chemical shortages. Those are unexplained to date. Are the chemicals from China? Did the Clintons get a cut for moving there? After all Billy-Bob Clinton moved satellite launches to China and gave them the tech.

X, do what you do best go forth and sin by slavishly reading the NYT and finding 'free' pics of exploited women from poor countries in Eastern Europe, Ukraine, and Russia.
