Taiwan News: 80% of coronavirus test kits 'gifted' to Czechs by China faulty

China charged Czech government millions of crowns for defective coronavirus test kits.

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A Czech news site on Monday (March 23) revealed that 80 percent of the much-touted traunch of Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) rapid test kits "donated" from China are faulty, forcing healthcare workers to rely on conventional laboratory tests.

On March 18, as is the case with many of its other quasi charitable acts, Chinese state-run mouthpieces used the verbs "supplied" and "delivered" to give the impression that the communist regime was donating 150,000 portable, rapid COVID-19 test kits to the Czech Republic. In fact, the central European nation's Health Ministry paid some 14 million crowns (US$546,000) for 100,000 test kits, while the country's Interior Ministry footed the bill for another 50,000, reported Expats.cz.

WNU Editor: The Czech story is here (need to use Google translate) .... Rychlotesty na koronavirus z Číny mají podle krajské hygieničky chybovost až 80 procent (iRozhlas). For the past few days regular readers of this blog have been giving me the heads-up that contrary to main-street media reports China is not giving away their coronavirus test-kits, and yes, there are problems with the kits. Cannot say that I am surprised.

Of the Chinese lied about this, what else are they lying about?

If Xi lied about the corona virus deaths falling or when the Corona flu started, can we trust the Chinese government.

The deaths might actually be falling in China, but not as early as the government said. The population there probably has herd immunity. The American population probably has herd immunity now or close to it.

If the Chinese are talking, publishing, broadcasting, communicating in any way - they are lying.

I would like to know, how they translated the manual for the test kit. Using google can lead to questionable results.

That's like gifting poison
But CNN LOVED it. RAN WITH IT. Told us they are the best and orange man the worst. For year and years now.

Milan,

Very good question.

But could not of one Czech medical person called a Chinese one and talked in a common language?

Still have to followup on the story. China is the country of origin of poisonous dog food and hazardous drywall. Maybe the tests were defective.

As the Time article pointed out Chinese exports may be hazardous, but it is worse in the country. Some dairy producers had cows producing milk with too little protein that milk companies would not buy. So they added a poison, melamine, to trick the tests ran by the companies. The two men behind the melamine doping were executed by the Chinese authorities which was a very good thing. Still why are there so many scandals year after year?
