CNBC: Chancellor Angela Merkel in quarantine after contact with doctor who tested positive for coronavirus
* Merkel decided to immediately quarantine herself in her home, German government spokesman Steffen Seibert said.
* She will be tested regularly over the coming days and will continue to conduct her duties as chancellor from home, Seibert said.
* Germany, the European Union’s largest economy, has banned meetings of more than two people in public for the next two weeks to contain the spreading virus.
* Exceptions will be made for people who live together and for work-related gatherings.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has made the decision to self-quarantine in her home after having contact with a doctor who tested positive for the coronavirus, making her the latest world leader to take precautions after possible exposure to the rapidly spreading disease.
Merkel was informed after a press conference Sunday that a doctor who administered a pneumococcal vaccine to her Friday afternoon tested positive for the virus, according to her spokesman Steffen Seibert.

The longer Das Merkel is incommunicado, the better for the longevity of Deutschland.
I predict she won't be "incommunicado" for very long as she poses no real issue for certain interests. On the other hand, Rand Paul has "tested positive." Now he has proven to be a mild irritant to certain powers. If certain powers wanted to go a certain way, he could prove to be more than a mild irritant. He could be a real problem for them.
Is it an accident that Senator Paul "trsted positive." It's probably coincidence. Nevertheless, as I pointed out from the beginning, COVID-19 could provide excellent cover for a government to eliminate those they don't like. Simply mark them down as infected, quarantine them, and dominate them. It's very, very easy for governments to do and I've never known of a government not to use any power that it has at some point.
This is probably just a coincidence but worth watching. Senator Paul either a.)dies, b.)lives and emerges as diehard cheerleader of the current policies, or c.)recovers from this as one would from the common cold or the flu and nothing about him really change s. It definitely bears watching.
