Daily Mail: America will be in lockdown like Italy in less than two weeks, computer scientist claims: Worrying graph shows how coronavirus cases in the US are growing - as Surgeon General warns the epidemic will get 'worse before it gets better'

* Mark Handley, a computer scientist from UCL in London, tweeted a graph saying 'everyone' will be Italy in 9-14 days in terms of coronavirus cases
* There are currently 804 cases in the US but it is 11 days behind Italy in diagnosing its first few cases
* Now, there are 9,172 cases of the virus in Italy and 463 people have died from it
* Surgeon General Jerome Adams said on Tuesday things would 'get worse before they get better'
* Trump has vowed that it's business as usual in terms of how the country functions
* But a growing number of companies are telling staff to work from home and schools are closing
* The Dow rebounded on Tuesday after the worst single day point drop in history
* Mayor Bill de Blasio insisted that New York City would not shut down soon, but urged: 'Ask me in a week'

Fears over the rapidly growing number of coronavirus cases in the US has led to questions over whether America will be forced to go into lockdown like parts of Italy and China, the countries which have been so far the worst-hit by the epidemic.

There are currently 804 cases of the virus in the US and 28 people have died from it.

In Italy, the numbers are far more alarming. As of Tuesday morning, 463 have died and there are 9,172 of it. Italy confirmed its first case of the virus 11 days before the US did.

On Monday night, computer scientist Mark Handley, Professor of Networked Systems and part-time Roboticist at UCL in London, tweeted a graph showing how growth figures in other infected countries compare to Italy's.

'Everyone else will be Italy in 9-14 days time,' Handley tweeted along with the data.

WNU Editor: This scenario is very possible by the end of March/beginning of April. I first heard about this outbreak in early January, and blogged about it a week later .... Deadly Coronavirus From China Has Global Health Officials On Alert (January 20, 2020). Seven weeks later, Italy is under lockdown and the outbreak is now almost worldwide. One can only imagine what the next few weeks can bring.

Scary times, straight out of a movie.
Make sure you are prepped as much as you can, ready to stay at home for a month or two. This ain't gonna blow over in a couple of weeks.

This was the day Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.) has been warning about — and essentially predicted. Back in 2017, when the Trump administration first proposed steep cuts to programs that handle disease outbreaks, Cole said, “I promise you the president is much more likely in his term to have a deal with a pandemic than an act of terrorism. I hope he doesn’t have to deal with either one, but you have to be ready to deal with both.”

Now that the potential pandemic has come, Cole is re-upping his long-standing criticisms of the Trump administration’s posture toward preparedness. And on Tuesday, he offered a little bit of an “I told you so,” even suggesting that the situation might not be as bad if the administration had listened to him.

Not the time to sit in denial. we have plenty of case history here. At the least we should be behaving like this is accurate.

THIS IS CRAP.

Look at Italy. It's death rate is 5 top 9 higher than Britain, France or Germany. Socialism is more firmly embedded there. Grats. Take a bow. You deserve it.

The Italians have no socialist Dream where senior ha la vita dolce and their children can afford no children.

Time or one of those magazines did a story about the Ponzi scheme years ago before it went full tard communist.

Gramsci would be house proud of the destruction he has wrought.

"anon: dumb piece of shit"

Sterling logic isn't it.

Any votes as this being the work of FL?'

Does F know who Granmsci was?

Did F dispute that the assertion it is a Ponzi scheme?

Many holy of holies were lampooned. One of them was the comment about Time magazine. That is certain to bring the lice out of the woodwork.

However at this point in time F can dispute the the ratios? Of course she can. She can do anything with numbers, because she has no ability with numbers.
