It has been a rough 12 hours. While I am in my little world of peace and tranquility hidden in the woods of the Laurentians in Quebec, there is panic, fear, anger, and worry among many people that I know out there in the real world. My girlfriend's youngest daughter works part time at a pharmacy to help her earn extra money while going to university, and is afraid to go to work today because she knows that it it is only a question of time before those who are really sick start showing up to buy pain killers and flu medicine (I told her to go to work to assess the situation, and if it is bad, walk out). A business partner and close friend was told that he was laid off this morning from a job that he has had for 25 years. A friend who runs a family store that has been in business for 60 years does not know how he can make ends meet by May. A couple who run a gym and who I have known for 20 years (it is where I also go to train), cannot last more than two months. My brother who works in the biotech and pharmaceutical field in the Bay area in California is filled with anger and hatred at Trump, and is blaming him for the pandemic?!?!?!? I can list 3 more calls from others who are voicing the same fear/panic/anger/and despair in their voice.
Since yesterday my message to everyone has been the same .... Remain calm, keep self control, do not panic, be safe and healthy, stay happy, stay positive, be active, do all the right things, and stay productive. This is just another episode in life where the times are difficult and tough, but in the end this will all pass, and by doing all the right things today will in the future bring rewards and contacts that you never thought was possible.
Sghhh .... aside from the readers of this blog (and again a super thanks to all of you for the messages that you are sending to me), I realized this morning that no one is listening to me.

St. Donat is beautiful, BTW. I was up in Tremblant a couple of years ago golfing and it was awesome. That said, I'll take my little slice of heaven here in PA, where I have a constitutional right to my AR-15 and FN, which keeps obnoxious two-legged critters at bay.
Do you read comments here? I'm in the states and definitely appreciate your work. I'm very concerned but am not panicking (at least not yet! LOL).
I watched a video yesterday that suggested this was a Chinese plot to infect the western world as evidenced by the lack of new infections in China (and Russia and India). I doubt it's true but it was very interesting.

My sister is a phlebotomist and they have had to close their lab to the public because they've completely run out of PPE (glvoes / masks / sanitizing equipment) and of course because of the virus, but the company is instructing the phlebotomists go draw at people's houses and again, they won't and / or can't provide masks, or any extra equipment. Do you risk losing your job and say no, or risk close contact with possibly ill people and inadequate PPE?

I do read the comments as best as I can
:)
(I'm the same Anon from above :-)
The American President Franklin Roosevelt said (about the Great Depression) "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself". Lovely words and very applicable today.
Personally I'm more concerned about the macro-economic effects right now.
Tl;dr. lol

Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr is being criticized by liberals and conservatives due to the news he sold up to $1.6 million in stock after receiving private briefings about the coronavirus but before the stock market began its sharp decline.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., tweeted of the North Carolina Republican: “Burr knew how bad it would be. He told the truth to his wealthy donors, while assuring the public that we were fine. THEN he sold off $1.6 million in stock before the fall. He needs to resign.”
Tucker Carlson told his audience Burr needs to resign and await prosecution if he’s unable to explain his actions. He said if the allegations are true, that Burr has betrayed his country in a time of crisis.
It’s up to the people of North Carolina to decide Burr’s fate. They elected him and are best suited to make that decision. But it’s the job of the Republicans in the Senate to pick chairmen and committee slots. And it is long past time for Burr to step aside as chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
Burr had already let the country down in that role. Under his leadership, the Senate Intelligence Committee was worse than useless at overseeing the intelligence community’s handling of the bizarre theory that Donald Trump was involved in an elaborate conspiracy with Russia to steal the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton. Burr helped perpetuate the idea that this was a reasonable and not insane theory, and took many actions to protect those who spied on the Trump campaign, leaked against Trump administration officials, and withheld evidence from the real congressional overseers on other Senate committees and in the House of the Representatives.
The only notable thing to have happened in that committee over the course of the Russia collusion hoax was the arrest of one of its staffers for lying regarding his leaks of information to reporters he was intimate with. Those reporters published information about the surveillance of Carter Page, a Trump campaign affiliate. Burr defended the staffer and begged that he not be imprisoned for his work in perpetuating the false and dangerous Russia collusion hoax.
Another 6 paragraphs copied and plastered by a low class, girlie boy.
Pssssst. Don't let girlie boy know, but the FBI lost General Flynn's files. So much for that conviction.
After Flynn the FBI will lose Carter Page's files.
G,
I like you. If you are a troll trying to give Christian a bad name, you are giving your best effort. If you are not consider Mathew 10:14
"And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet."
Proselytizing is good; Bible nagging not so much. The latter says more about the nagger than anyone else.
No one knows when the end times will be and to say this or that even is it, is to look foolish, Many people have face planted since year 1000 and since then. Those that predict doom now are usually charlatans and cultists (Fake Christians) not true Christians.
