Top US General Says Military Preparing for Potential Coronavirus ‘Pandemic’

CNN: Top US General says military preparing for all coronavirus scenarios, including potential pandemic

Washington (CNN)Top US military officials said the US military is planning for all scenarios as it faces the coronavirus, including a pandemic should the spread of the virus reach that point.

"The United States military looks at a wide variety of scenarios," Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said at the Pentagon, adding that "pandemic is the worst case."

"Of course we do all kinds of planning in the department of defense," Milley told reporters, adding that the military labs are working on a vaccine. "With respect to the vaccine, yes, the military labs are working very consistently ... working in direct support with health and human services."

Milley spoke alongside Defense Secretary Mark Esper shortly after the US canceled a joint military exercise with Israel due to the coronavirus, a US defense official told CNN Monday.

The death rates MERS, SARS & COVID-19 are an indicator of societal nutritional health and other things than an indication of how bad corona viruses are.

Make the appropriate judgments of political, religious and ethnic groups.
