The COVID-19 outbreak that began in China has sickened thousands worldwide.
By Tuesday, the novel coronavirus outbreak in the United States had grown to at least 760 cases, with clusters in New York, Washington state and California, according to Johns Hopkins University, which is tracking reports and confirming them with local health departments.
The number of cases in the U.S. and worldwide is the subject of some debate, as testing has been rolled out unevenly and the criteria for diagnosis (through clinical means or a lab test) has varied from country-to-country.

WNU Editor: Even though the numbers are still low, the above graph is shocking. If that trend line continues, and I pray that it will not, the U.S. may be faced in the next two or three weeks with a situation that may entail large scale quarantines lasting for weeks.

Are you looking at all the graphs?
The graph of the fatality rate for COVID-19 in the US is also an exponential curve. It shows that estimate of the fatality rate decreasing.
The base of its exponential function is less than 1.
