U.S. Democrat Presidential Candidate Blasts President Trump For His Reaction To The Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic

Daily Mail: Joe Biden blasts Donald Trump for spreading 'misinformation' and responding to coronavirus with 'favoritism' - then sets out his own plan to beat the pandemic saying testing MUST be free and FEMA must rush to build temporary hospitals

* Biden spoke for the first time since his Tuesday night primary wins in four states amid the coronavirus outbreak
* He spoke hours after Donald Trump addressed the nation and announced 30-day travel ban for Europeans seeking to enter the U.S.
* Rival Bernie Sanders announced he will address the outbreak Thursday afternoon
* The former Delaware senator and vice president has racked up numerous endorsements as his primary wins rolled in
* Cautioned against downplaying the virus or being 'overly dismissive'
* He called the administration's failure on testing 'collosal'

Former Vice President Joe Biden leveled pointed criticisms at President Donald Trump's response to the coronavirus outbreak, accusing him of spreading 'misinformation' in a way that is harming the national response.

'When I'm president, we will be better prepared, respond better, and recover better,' Biden vowed, reading form a teleprompter as he addressed the spiraling crisis and released a plan.

Biden spoke before a bank of American flags in his home town of Wilmington, hitting Trump for being insufficiently prepared, but also putting out some of his own ideas he said would be shaped by scientists if he were elected.

WNU Editor: "We should have" is the main message of former Vice-President Biden's speech today. And his blaming the President for the market crash is not the reason why the markets have crashed. The markets are crashing because there is a real fear on what the Codif-19 coronavirus pandemic is doing. This was a golden opportunity for Biden to shine, and to criticize how the Trump administration initially reacted to the crisis. But politicizing it in the manner that he did, killed whatever message he was trying to send out. On a positive note. For the first time in a year he did look alive and sharp in front of the cameras.

As a self-designated, one-man task force assigned to smother the shifting coronavirus wildfire, allow me to direct my first edict to the president of the United States: Mr. Trump, please stop talking about the virus.

Don’t comment on the number of cases or deaths. Stop congratulating yourself about what a good job you’re doing and never, ever again claim that you’ve got things “well under control.” Never again compare this virus with the flu. Never again promise that a vaccine is arriving “pretty soon“ or that the virus “will go away,” as you repeatedly have, or that “it’s going to disappear.” Don’t blame the Democrats or the Obama administration or the press for your bungling of the crisis. Don’t say “anybody that wants a test can get a test,” because it isn’t true.

At the hearing, Fauci defended his ability to be forthright about the scientific facts while serving under Trump. “I have never ever held back telling exactly what is going on from a public health standpoint,” he said to the lawmakers. But he hesitated briefly after Connolly asked him whether it was a mistake for the president to dismantle the office within the National Security Council that oversaw global health and security. “I wouldn’t necessarily characterize it as a mistake,” he said, before adding that “it would be nice if the office was still there.”

I think the "bungling" accusations are misdirected. If there's one nation that absolutely with out a doubt BUNGLED the handling of the Wuhan Virus it is China - and criminally so. Followed closely by Iran, Italy and France. The US is not experiencing anything close to their numbers of infected and dead.

The reason is that Trump shut the border early on. And of course political hacks called him racist, xenophobic, incompetent, stupid, etc... Seems those same politicians are coming around to agreement now.
