Acting U.S. Secretary Of The Navy Has Resigned

Politico: Acting Navy secretary resigns over handling of virus-stricken aircraft carrier

It is unclear whether Defense Secretary Mark Esper will accept the resignation.

Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly resigned on Tuesday following an uproar over a profanity-laced address to the crew of the coronavirus-stricken aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt on Sunday, Defense Secretary Mark Esper announced.

WNU Editor: The U.S. Secretary of Defense Esper has not indicated (at 18:30 EST) that he will accept his resignation. I personally think his resignation will be accepted. But President Trump did say something two days ago that made sense to me. Everyone deserves a second chance if he wants one. That includes both Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly and former Captain Brett Crozier.

"Trump did say something two days ago that made sense to me."

Right. He says lots of things, and they make sense. Yeah.

As a matter of fact, most (if not all) of what Trump says is true. True at the outset and true after dipshits like you are proven wrong. Which you always are. (easily)

For example, true - like the fact that the skipper of the Roosevelt did indeed put a major US strategic asset in jeopardy by mass emailing the fact that the Wuhan virus was spreading throughout the ship. And not only that carrier at risk. He put the whole of US military readiness at risk by panicking and blurting the situation to the media.

Both the Roosevelt 0-6 and the acting SECNAV deserve a second chance. The Roosevelt O-6 deserves a 2nd chance - but not on board a CVN - but rather in the Pentagon. And Acting SECNAV should not resign, but remain in his office.

So, "Yeah", it does make sense. "Right"?

I agree.

I had earlier written that Crozier was prepared for a lot of things in the way of calamity, but this came at him sideways. Given that the Democrat political establishment and Registered Democrats in the legacy media have been beating their drums on the tiger hunt this is understandable.

Trump is a kind man. Just tougher than most of his peers.

If what Modly uttered (my kid said that I would spank him) was or is ok, then why did he resign and have his resignation accepted?

Modly said nothing wrong.
