Apple is considering moving a fifth of its production from China to India, a new report claims.
The tech giant is in talks with Indian officials about producing up to $40billion worth of smartphones over the next five years through manufacturers Wistron and Foxconn, according to the India's Economic Times.
The move - which could make Apple India's largest exporter - comes as the coronavirus pandemic that began in Wuhan, China, caused major disruptions in tech supply chains.

Remember when Tim cook went over to China for his business trip and took 1bn USD in cash with him? That was for the "privilege " of doing business there. Hope every businessman sees what a shit investment that was. Literally bribed them couple years ago with a cool billion and still got nothing but problems with them. What a shit place to do business. Well, from their perspective they were trying to access the sales there. The US is a mature market in the sense that no new sales groups exist allowing for large sales bump - which by the way causes the stock to grow causing funds to increase in value.
Be careful, everyone has a role to play to keep all this going.
Just because China was not a mature market does not mean they will let you access it.
There are many ways to deny market share or cheat.
The US should deny market share to any country that denies American companies market share.
