China Responds To Alberta Premier Jason Kenney's Call For 'A Reckoning' With China Over The COVID-19 Pandemic

National Post: China hits back at Alberta Premier Jason Kenney after he called for a 'reckoning'

'If Mr. Premier did not deliberately turn his head away, these facts and evidence are presenting themselves crystal clearly before his eyes'

EDMONTON — The Chinese consulate in Calgary has hit back at Jason Kenney after the Alberta premier called for “a reckoning” with China over the COVID-19 pandemic.

The consulate in Calgary accused Kenney of criticizing China to please U.S. President Donald Trump and said there was a “large body of facts and data” proving China did not downplay or obfuscate the damaging effects of the novel coronavirus.

“If Mr. Premier did not deliberately turn his head away, these facts and evidence are presenting themselves crystal clearly before his eyes,” a statement posted to Twitter said. “If there is a comparison between what he has done during the outbreak with what Wuhan has, he will not look smarter.”

“However,” the statement continued, “we disdain to bring the details up, because attacking Mr. Premier was never one of our goals.”

So we all know the intended arc of China's rise as the premier economic, military and political power. And, we can see that the pandemic has broken their stride. Then there is talk of China lashing out militarily, partly due to opportunity and partly to distract the public from internal unfulfilled wants.

Many have called that a dangerous situation. One way to save face, which is important in China.

There is a big problem for China that will make it hard for them to do that. If they do take on the US in the Pacific, it will be China vs. the US and the rest of the world will be rooting for the US. They would be digging a deeper hole.

I now think there is a face saving way out for China, that gives them a chance to catch their breath, reinvigorate their economy and repair damaged relationships throughout the world: have President Xi step down. They could still put in place a hard line CCP leader and supporter, but they could present a new face that will give many former friends the excuse to rebuild relationships. It doesn't require that they yield to the US. They can say the status quo remains and they can live to fight another day.

The Chinese and the rest of the world seem to have two sets of "facts" and "evidence"

May I humbly suggest for both sides to present these facts?

I think we all know where the virus originated. But. This matter is so serious and potentially an act of War on china's side that our Intel agencies need to show the proof.

Now is the time

Also now is the time for any whistle blower to come forward. The entire Wotld needs to know so we can put this behind us

Jason needs some headlines since his approval rating has dropped below 50% in his province of Alberta.

Jason should ask his buddy Trump how possible that the US started vaccine research on January 11.
