Summit News: China Says That If It Has To Pay For Coronavirus, US Has To Pay For AIDS, 1918 Spanish Flu
“The US is the one to be held accountable and it should compensate the international society, for the Spanish Flu, AIDS and other epidemics.”
In its latest tirade against America, Chinese state media argued Thursday that if lawsuits are filed against the communist state by the US, then international lawsuits should be filed against America for the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the late 1980s and early 1990s, as well as the Spanish Flu, which happened in 1918.
One of the most notorious propaganda mouth pieces in China, The Global Times published a piece demanding China is “never the one to be blamed” for the coronavirus spread, and that the “arrogance of some American politicians” should take precedence.
“Under the logic of some American politicians, the US is the one to be held accountable and it should compensate the international society, for the Spanish Flu, AIDS and other epidemics,” the piece proclaimed.
It also pointed to America’s culpability for “the 2008 international financial crisis which led to the collapse of countless enterprises and individuals.”

WNU Editor: The Chinese government knows that the lawyers and their lawsuits are coming. And while Beijing is focused on the U.S., I can easily see lawsuits coming from multiple countries. And the assets are there to be seized.

This creates a very interesting situation. US and other "Western" political and business leaders invested heavily in China over the last several decades. The idea was first and foremost for China to replace the US as a major world power and for China to become the world's top power. This investment was both financial and ideological. As a result, China is pretty near "to big to fail" in the eyes of many. What will US and other "western" governments do when these lawsuits start coming? Will they double down on their investment in China by trying to block these lawsuits? Even if someone "wins" against China how do they collect? The Chinese government will most likely simply tell them to go pound sand. What then?

You can make Xi pay. You can make Xi's faction pay or maybe the Chinese communist party to pay.
But if you try to get all Chinese to pay that is just asking for it. There are know free and fair elections in China.

I don’t know about the Spanish flu for sure. But I am pretty sure that aids did not start in the United States. So how are the Chinese going to sue us for that. They might have a point on the 2008 financial crisis though. ��
Ok fine. We can then expect a reimbursement for the Vietnam War, the purges of the cult of personality the Maoist genocide and the cleanup of Pacific Ocean. Oh and of course payback for virtually every intellectual/technological device they produce.

All lawyers around the world getting a big turn on by all this talk. We are talking trillions and trillions the Chinese will be asked to pay. And the lawyers will likely make between 100m-500mn on these items even with a low share. Expect a lot more nice cars in the right neighborhoods.
Oh and as always, the poor will be more poor. I expect millions to die just because of suicide and crime. On top the direct and indirect health and mental issues. China will implode as it has done before. Was way overdue anyways with so so many industries leaving China for eg Vietnam and Thailand etc. China got greedy and careless. On top they insulted everyone. They have no friends, no allies.
And here's an easy prediction: Xi, emperor for life, will not sleep easily for years to come (if he's lucky)
