Zero Hedge: "Shocking": Americans Flood Beaches, Trampling Social Distancing Rules
After months of quarantine, Americans are finally breaking free from their homes this Memorial Day weekend, despite the potential consequences of sparking a second coronavirus wave. The battle between staying sane while cooped up in a home for months versus the ongoing pandemic is a challenging situation to balance. While some are venturing outside in absolute horror, others are putting their party face on and disregarding local public health orders.
Thousands of vacationers, few with masks and ignoring social distancing rules, flocked to Ocean City, Maryland for Memorial Day weekend. This comes as COVID-19 cases in the state topped 45,000, with the number of people hospitalized levelling off in the past several weeks.

Update: Americans pass pandemic holiday on beaches, in parks as death toll nears 100,000 (Reuters).
WNU Editor: The U.S. is not the only country where social distancing rules are being ignored. They are certainly being ignored in multiple cities in Canada, and all of my friends in Western Europe are telling me that these rules are being generally ignored.

We shall see.
WNU,
Could you cancel all these "Digital marketing" which are poisoning the blog? Thanks.
I'm taking a healthy piss on "social distancing".
I believe the self-inflicted destruction caused as a direct result of the media and medical/political hyped panic is far worse the the disease ever was or will be.
e.g.: We lost 100,000 people in the late 1960's with the Hong Kong flu. Woodstock carried on in it's midst. No "shutdowns", no church closings, no beach closings. Everyone ate at restaurants, flew on airlines, went to work, got haircuts and went to school. Life went on.
It was a historical blip.
Now we're a nation of obedient germophobes. Willingly acquiescing to any stoppage of our freedoms, liberties or livelihoods. It is disappointing and disgusting to me how quick and easy this was to achieve.
All I can hope for is that there is a quiet rage and anger against the petty political tyrants, medical "professionals" and media who have falsely promulgated this very manageable disease into the economic catastrophe it has become.
We need to vote out the fools who led us here and shun the media who've lied to us. Before we're told that the ballot box simply isn't the means by which we can continue to choose our representatives - they must choose themselves for our own health and safety.
People are not dying in the streets within 24 hrs.
That would be a pandemic worthy of a bunker.
In my life time. There have ben many deaths around me. No one said I needed to be quarantined from death. Until now.
The best advise given to me in 1983. Was from the Dr. who operated on me.
"Never give up the right to say no."
He went on to elaborate more of his advise. "Just because someone in the medical profession says you need something done. Doesn't mean he knows all the ramifications." Not exact but it gets the point across.
Later when I was given a choice of having my right arm fused or not. I choose not. Turned out to be a great decision looking back. At the time I could only move my pinky. Having that little mobility to a limb is better than none whatever.
People now are coming to the choice.
Do I trust my immune system and a possible trip to the medical professionals. Or do I trust the government to tell me what to do and when to do it.
Do I let the government fuse me or do I continue using my single pinky.
We humans have very basic needs.
Only a few days from being a complete savage. The so-called ruling classes need to be reminded from time to time.
Its the people who rule. Even though some are sheep like.
We can certainly be civil and honest. Letting us exercise our right of speech is a good way of keeping it In the realm of verbal abuse. There are other realms that are dark and filled with unknowns. They are called the hard choices.
This human stares into those realms and wonders. The scenarios are endless.
Consider this. A virus is nothing compared to the human it inhabits.
We are all standing at a crossroads. Everyone is making a choice that will be a starting point.
That point where you dig another foundation of your ongoing life. Building on what you think you know. Comparing and contrasting with what others tell you.
No walking back.
Its time to begin living
Nothing in this life is free. That is why I'm Infantry.

OCRUMBOGATE.
In its last century, Rome could not recruit soldier nor collect taxes. Rich landowners, who later became barons, dukes and counts so to it. Why let a crisis go to waste?
We lock down to flatten the curve so hospitals would not be overrun. The hospitals are not overrun and the curve is flat. So why continue lockdown?
For political power.
Anyone who says otherwise is stupid or a liar.
A leftist scheme to crash the economy and cause death to help propel Joe to the throne - LOL.
