Business Insider: The US Navy aircraft carrier sidelined by the coronavirus is expected to return to sea in the next few days
* The aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt, sidelined for nearly two months by the coronavirus, is expected to return to sea this week, the Associated Press reported Tuesday, citing US officials.
* The ship's crew has been conducting a "fast cruise," a type of training that simulates being at sea, in preparation for eventually getting underway.
* Efforts to get the ship back to sea come as sailors who were thought to have recovered from the coronavirus and were cleared to return to the ship are retesting positive.
The US Navy aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt is expected to return to sea this week, the Associated Press reported Tuesday, citing US officials.
In an interview Monday, the carrier's commanding officer, Capt. Carlos Sardiello, expressed confidence that the ship could get back to its mission. "Do I have a crystal ball? I do not. But I think we have set the conditions for a high probability of success, and we're going to go to sea and do our mission," he told the AP.
The carrier's captain said that when the ship finally sets sail, it would do so with about two-thirds of the crew, about 3,000 sailors. The rest of the crew, about 1,800 sailors, will remain on Guam, where the USS Theodore Roosevelt has been sidelined since the coronavirus outbreak began nearly two months ago.

Let me tell you, these tests are crap! My mother is in a nursing home and me and the administrator agree that tests come up false a lot. My Mom tests positive then negative then positive etc etc.
