Politics: ‘Grossly incompetent’: Trump dismisses Obama over coronavirus criticism
Without naming names, the former president had condemned leaders’ performance during the pandemic.
President Donald Trump on Sunday dismissed his predecessor as “grossly incompetent,” a day after former President Barack Obama said leaders weren’t “even pretending to be in charge” amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Asked about Obama’s comments, Trump first told a pool of reporters at the White House that administration officials “had a great weekend” during a working trip to Camp David.
“We did a lot of terrific meetings, tremendous progress is being made on many fronts, including coming up with a cure for this horrible plague that has beset our country,” he said.
When pressed further, Trump added: “Look, he was an incompetent president. That’s all I can say. Grossly incompetent.”
Since leaving office, Obama has largely avoided weighing in on politics or how his successor is doing. But recently, with the coronavirus outbreak taking a huge toll on the country, he has become more outspoken.

WNU Editor: I could be wrong, but I cannot help but sense that deep inside President Trump wants to run against former President Obama rather than the assumed Democrat Presidential candidate Joe Biden.

Trump IS running against Obama.
Actually I should have said Obama is running against Trump.
Obama is an alpha male, who is younger than 60. When was he going to stop being an alpha?
Alphahood was given to Obama much as enhanced status is given to a new primate of any species if their mother is an alpha. That newborn might be genetically inferior to another newborn born around the same time, but since its mother is an alpha the status is nonetheless conveyed to it. The newborn may lose its status when its mother dies, it has bad interactions with the member of its troop, but often it has it for a long time.
Obama was awarded his alpha status due to his black skin privilege. He did not earn it. So he his moves are not always smart or thought out. They are the moves of a petulant, only child alpha.
Also Obama isn't totally dumb. If they take out his cabinet and never come for him over Obamagate, he Will still have to live with the Scarlet A.
