WNU Editor: The White House will control entry into the country, and I am sure the restrictions are not going to change significantly from what they are today. But if a second wave hits it will be the states and cities that will (in the end) decide on what to do.

"But if a second wave hits it will be the states and cities that will (in the end) decide on what to do."

No, it is the people. Certain mayor and governors have been dragging their feet to inflict economic damage. Governors and mayors are being increasingly sued. Cell phone tacking data show people are increasingly moving around. Analysis of COVID deaths have show major cluster like nursing homes. Governor Cuomo is scared that he might have to pay the price stuffing COVID patients into Nursing homes. What is the next NY Democrat governor going to do, when it is against the law to put influenza or COVID patients in nursing homes? Warehouse them in day care next to toddlers?

The governor of Michigan is to egotistical and full of herself to know that she is in political and legal trouble. In Michigan a person, 20, was voluntarily committed to a mental health facility. A few days later they pop positive for corona. So where did the state send him?

To a nursing home. Does it makes sense to send a 20 year old to a nursing home? Does it make sense to send an infected person to a nursing home, when there is a pandemic? Are nursing homes catch-alls?

People understand that 40 to 505 of the deaths are in nursing homes. Because of it, they will not want to shut down the economy nor will most of them permit it.

We suggested, at the beginning of April, that a "suicide wave" was imminent considering the economic devastation sparked by COVID-19 lockdowns. In the last nine weeks, 38.6 million Americans have lost their jobs and were thrown into instant poverty. Many were already skating on thin financial ice even before the pandemic, and now they've fallen through, drowning in insurmountable debts, no savings, and limited lifelines.

The first signs of a suicide wave could be originating in California. ABC7 News reports doctors and nurses at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area, are reporting deaths by suicide far exceed COVID-19 deaths during the pandemic.

The hospital's top trauma doctor, Dr. Mike deBoisblanc, told ABC7 that mental health has become a major problem during the shelter-in-place order.

the people elect governors for their states. The Gov and legislatures will decide what to do for "the people" in their states. And yes, there is also the issue of cities within states. Democracies can be messy

"The Gov and legislatures will decide what to do for "the people" in their states."

You almost say that lit it was a threat or with an air of condescension.

There can be a lot of civil disobedience and lawsuits that force governors and legislators out of office at election time or cause them to resign.

the people elect governors for their states.

You're sure about that? Do you want to choose another answer before you hand your test in?

ah, you have found a bad Dem! now talk about gerrymandering.
election elect Governors. YES. tell me otherwise

11:53 it's the Clerk again, with righteous anger (not bad for a liar).

There have been and will be again trolls, who imitate others, to cause trouble.

However, we all can see the lack of punctuation and capitalization, which is a usually a giveaway along with the retailing on incomplete truths that it is The Clerk.

I was going to say "Light in the ...". It thought it meant "Not all there". It means something different. It does mean what I wonder about and is one of two theories I have.

Gerrymandering is done by Democrat and Republicans. However, it is in your face and thus above board. It is aboveboard there is no stealing or diluting votes. There is no finding ballot boxes in car trunks after the polls close and Democrats need an extra 1,000 votes.

Here is another bad Democrat for The Clerk.

DOJ Intervenes in Case Against Illinois Governor Pritzker’s Stay at Home Order While Governor Pritzker Sends Construction Workers to His Estate in Wisconsin

The New Jersey,
New York,
Pennsylvania,
Nevada,
California,
Oregon,
Washington,
Colorado,
Michigan,

Governors all suck BIGly in their COVID antics.

That is a lot of bad Dems and the list is too long to post.

All of them are DIM governors.

Shaw v. Reno, 509 U.S. 630 (1993)

Maybe Clerk is referencing the NC 12th district that the Democrats gerrymandered all to Hell.

It was racial and still is racial and Democrats did it. Good news is that racial Gerrymandering is going away, because the DNC will move on after Trump takes the black vote and wins it.

Anan 10:52 there can be a lot of civil disobedience. Now that sounds like a threat. Anon 10:43 is right. you are wrong. Real people with common sense and intelligence know the difference between him and you .

Dear Heart--
the various governors in the U.S. now rank higher in public estimation in all our states (one exception), than does Orange Man. The prez might "order" but ultimately it will be the courts that will decide, ie. Trump has "order' churches to open. Many if not most have said: NOPE

Anonymous said...

A lot of churches have been threatened and prosecuted. A Lot of churches have gone to court.

When people going to church are socially distanced 6 feet or more apart sitting in their cars and some Jackass mayor wants to arrest them, we know that it has nothing to do with science and everything to do with liberal girly boys hating Christians in particular and religious people in general.

Girly boy would like nothing better to do than to be in a parade with de Blasio in the reviewing stand giving de Blasio a salute as he goose steps past the mayor.

The Churches will prevail. It is called the 1st amendment girly boy retard.

Clerky Clerk goes back to the NC voter fraud. It is the only one he remembers or wants to bring up.

You know why they do not find much voter fraud among Democrats. Because where it happens, it is in democrat strongholds where the Democrats do not control the justice system.

My 1st reaction when the Democrat in Philly got caught was

"He must have screwed a fellow Democrat otherwise they would never have bothered to look."

Munro did not do this on his own. He learned this, while sitting on some other Democrat's knee. There are more out there like him.

Ignoring Warnings, Mich. AG Sued to RAISE Lake Level Ahead of Dam Break—to Protect Mussels

The MSM are working overtime like steam bellows operating at 190% rated capacity blowing smoke up people's asses to support their poll numbers.

To be fair the MSM loves that job.

But no matter how much the puckers up and puts lips to ass, they won't be able to blow enough smoke to save Whitmer.

This is out of date.

I did see the WaPoo headline.

49 of 50 governors have better coronavirus poll numbers than ...

It is behind a paywall. There is no way that Whitmer or Pritzker have higher ratings. I doubt the WaPoo poll.

Three items.

- The election is 5 1/2 months a way, A lot will happen in that time like jihadi attacks on Naval Air stations. In the meantime don't begrudge parrot. if it gets a warm fuzzy with one-issue polls that are rigged.

- They polled 8,000 people for 50 states for an average of 160 people per state.

- As the weather warms up and we get int the 7 and 8 month of the years, people will be more worried about money and less about an overhyped virus.
