DW: WHO: 'Independent evaluation' of pandemic response will follow
In a video address, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the coronavirus crisis would be overcome if the world works together. The WHO director said the group would investigate its pandemic response as soon as possible.
The European Union called for an "impartial, independent and comprehensive evaluation" of the global response to coronavirus, during the World Health Organization’s (WHO) first-ever virtual World Health Assembly on Monday afternoon.
WHO chief Tedros Adhanon Ghebreysus said the meeting was "one of the most important since we were founded in 1948," as the health agency has garnered widespread attention over its handling of the pandemic which has infected more than 4.7 million people and killed over 315,000.

He has been resisting such a review, but with over 100 countries now demanding an investigation and a review on why the World Health Organization was slow to respond to the pandemic, he had to acquiesce .... More than 110 countries are backing a motion for WHO to investigate the origins of the coronavirus outbreak, despite China's objections (Business Insider). The key now is to make sure that the people who are charged with the responsibility of conducting this review are truly independent, and have no ties to the leadership of the World Health Organization.
Update: The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is trying to change the narrative .... As US claims WHO ‘failure’, UN chief scolds countries that ‘ignored’ its warnings (France 24). What the UN General-Secretary should be doing is finding out why the World Health Organization failed in its job to contain this pandemic.

The heads of this oh so common world organization that is trying so hard to be friends with everybody in the tooth fairy sandbox, especially kowtowing, it appears, to xi-boy.....Well they need new clothes also. Look at those old rags they wear! They need a little time off to also do their part in keeping the world economy afloat.

Obviously we are at cold war - or worse - with China. Have been for years actually.
I think China will release 'covid-20' in the USA through spies any day now
Why?
1. They had enough time to plan for this when the virus first was detected in late 2019 in Wuhan
2. They have tons of similar batches and they can be transported to the US on a commercial flight..super easy to hide in eg makeup and impossible to detect at that point
3. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain: a more deadly outbreak in the US will make the case for investors to move money back into China away from the US
4. They have seen how heavily the US navy was and still is impacted by this
5. They have witnessed how our media rips Trump a new one and seeks enemies in their own homeland, fighting with each other while China rebounced. They want more of this
6. Trump - who Single handedly changed the future of the west and China (with the west becoming far more successful) is in the top risk group. He is above 70 and obese. On top he can be really easily accessed and doesn't wear a mask. I fear for his life because trillions and the image of China are at stake. You just know it must be so tempting to them to try - and on top many in the US will help them with any narrative.
The next few weeks will be incredibly hairy. They will likely time it for maximum effect ie when people are letting down their guard and wear fewer masks
On top, the Chinese have realised that they could instil a civil war by doing so - the Democrats are alreadt shaming businesses to stay shut - devastating the US economy (only to then blame it on Trump)
Hot War is now a real possibility.
