The risk of a military conflict between China and the US is higher than ever as communication channels between the countries’ armed forces have fallen largely silent, Chinese experts say.
Wu Shicun, the president of the National Institute for South China Sea Studies, said that with Beijing and Washington locked in a rivalry on multiple fronts, the political distrust that had built up between them had led to hundreds of “track one” intergovernmental communication channels shutting down.

WNU Editor: The Chinese are blaming the U.S. for these tensions. But China is now facing a backlash over its territorial claims from most of its neighbours. And until that is resolved, the U.S. will be present to reassure its allies.

You know when you are growing up you are told by parents and those of higher influence to take responsibility for yourself and your actions.
However when it comes to politics it is not your fault and the other side is always to blame.
Am I missing something here?
