Facebook Bans Iconic Photo Of Troops Flying Soviet Flag Over The Reichstag

Daily Mail: Facebook bans iconic photo of troops flying Soviet flag over the Reichstag and suspends Russian artist for her incredible colourised WWII pics - but she says the website is 'deleting history'

* Original black and white photographs were brought to life by translator Olga Shirnina, from Moscow in Russia
* She claims a number of photographs were deleted from Facebook for breaching 'Community Standards'
* Olga's account was suspended for three days but she doesn't believe Facebook that it was a 'technical error'

A renowned Russian artist has accused Facebook of trying to 'delete history' after it banned her colourised version of a famous Second World War image showing troops flying a Soviet flag over the Reichstag.

Photo colourist Olga Shirnina from Moscow, Russia, is considered a world expert in transforming historic black and white pictures into colour.

But she claims a series of photos, brought to life and posted to her 23,000 followers, were removed by Facebook for breaching 'Community Standards'. She said she was also suspended by the social media giant for three days.

One photo shows a striking picture of a side profile of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler dressed in a black suit at a New Year's reception.

I guess they believe it supports Trump somehow if it stays on Facebook, I don't know. Sad to see all the revising of history going on right now

The policies make perfect sense.

The politics are the policy.

Look at the politics of all the Left. If you disagree you are banned.

What is the specif trigger in this case? Maybe it was that she was Russian showing pictures of Russian soldiers. With Russia gate that makes it a sin.

Throw in colorized photos of some NAZI leaders and that is the cherry on top of the cake for a Leftist worker at Facebook to be outraged.

When I wrote that Moscow might be worried that the US has nuclear weapons, when Democrats are in charge, was not to make someone feel bad or rile things up. With a number of them, it is mass psychosis.

Americans believe that only they defeated Germany in WW2. The Americans working at Facebook probably assumed the picture was a fake

Anon 2:03- Russians tied up 70% of the German troops and took horrendous casualties, like 100,000 to take Berlin.

Eisenhower knew the bloodbath it would be and wisely let Stalin expend his soldiers there. US schools teach zero about the USSR's battles. Thats why Facebook duds are triggered by "fake pics....."

The Russians took HORRENDOUS casualties taking Berlin. Eventually they changed tactics. It was shoot 1st with a tank round and then move. If they had not they would have had much higher casualties.
