CBS: Coronavirus model once used by White House now predicts 200,000 U.S. deaths by October
A coronavirus model once used by the White House now projects more than 200,000 Americans could die of COVID-19 by October 1. The prediction went up by more than 30,000 since last week.
As of Tuesday, more than 116,000 people in the U.S. have died of the coronavirus, and the death toll is still growing by hundreds per day. Infection rates and hospitalizations are rising in numerous states as businesses open up and people drop precautions.
According to the latest model from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington, a research institute once utilized by the White House for coronavirus projections, another 85,000 or so deaths are now projected by October 1.

This stuff certainly keeps hanging in there.
I would like to see a breakdown of who's doing the dying. While only speculation, numbers who passed because of old age and contracted this virus instead of some other old folks malady that in the pre-virus days took them away would be enlightening. Never reported in the press is the daily passing of the elderly in the first place so is there an increase of deaths because of the virus or has the virus simply replaced or added to other causes?
Let's have some numbers on the under 70 group, for example. 60's. 50's and so on. Has their death rate increased from the virus and if so how much?
What does 200,000 mean?

20% or 1 out of 5 New Jersey nursing home residents dead, but voting reliably Democrat?
Maybe Democrats in general and the New Jersey governor in particular want these deaths so they can transfer the money?
The NJ governor is all in for building a port and manufacturing center for offshore windmills. It will cost $300 to $400 million. To pay for it poor elderly and poor residents will have their property tax bills go up. The tax breaks for people who are poor and elderly will be gone. War on the poor.
It seems that that war extends to nursing home residents.
