RT: US & Russia discuss swapping Paul Whelan for Viktor Bout & Konstantin Yaroshenko - Interfax sources

Two days after he was convicted on spying charges and sentenced to 16 years in prison, Moscow news agency Interfax reports that Paul Whelan may be traded for two Russians jailed in the US. It cites “an informed source.”

The pair of Russians concerned are weapons dealer Victor Bout – serving 25 years – and pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko, who received a 20-year term. Interfax says it would be managed through presidential pardons.

The US should swap Konstantin Yaroshenko for Paul Whelan.

The let Moscow kidnap, torture and arrest another American to exchange for Viktor, so as to make it really obvious what shits the oligarchs of Moscow are.

Have private citizens conducted espionage for their countries including the US. It has happened. I question how often it happens with the US anymore. Anymore who would volunteer? Besides the Brennan CIA was more interested in spying on Americans than anything outside America's borders.

Really tired of countries kidnapping US citizens calling them spies to be used as bargaining chips. Next time it happens, 2 keys should be turned in unison. No one would ever play that game again.

Moscow has a biog interest in this sawp.

Paul Whelan's Wiki page has an edit by Orenburg1 in which he highlighted Whelan's Big Chicken Dinner. There is a reason why past history does not come out in trial, but only during the sentencing phase.

Maybe Moscow should or fellow travellers should not be editing Wikipages.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia "will not arrest innocent people simply to exchange them".

Putin has a stand up comedy routine.
