GENEVA (Reuters) - New coronavirus cases had their biggest daily increase ever as the pandemic worsens globally and has yet to peak in central America, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Monday, urging countries to press on with efforts to contains the virus.

More than 136,000 new cases were reported worldwide on Sunday, the most in a single day so far, he said. Nearly 75% of them were reported from 10 countries, mostly in the Americas and South Asia.

In Chicago this weekend local authorities inspected restaurants for Covid-19 compliance after limited reopening (outdoor seating only, 6ft distancing) with more than 100 complaints. This same weekend more than THIRTY THOUSAND people crammed together in and around Union Park for marching / protests.

Back on May 25th, Mayor Lightfoot Tweeted that police had to disperse a protest of approximately 50 people because while she supports the first amendment, it "posed an unacceptable public health risk"...what. a. change.

50=unacceptable public health risk because we don't care what they have to say.
30K=acceptable because we agree with the larger message?

The heart of the 1st amendment is protecting the voice of the one who thinks differently...nowadays that's an unacceptable public health risk. Ugh.

The people allowed to protest under these conditions have a message that not only has touched everyone's ears but in a liberal city like Chicago essentially everyone is on board (minus the more radical socialist / anarchist stuff).
