Editor's Note
Stuck with a deadline for a project that must be completed this weekend. I should be back to blogging later today.
Once Floyd was arrested, he may have died. You may argue he probably would have died and you may be right. At the very least it is a bad look on officer Chauvin's part.
The officer's did the correct thing in putting Floyd in the recovery position on his side. The knee may have cause, contributed or sped up Floyd's death Floyd might have died anyway, knee or no knee.
A good defense lawyer is going to get the toxicology report and look and show the jury the LD50 for males of a range of weights, ages, races and health conditions. I don't think the law or the public cares. On Chauvin's side is qualified immunity. Against him is the soft pate rule. The Soft pate rule is that you cannot argue that 95% of people could have say withstand such and such a blow. You cannot say that the average person could withstand a blow so that you had no expectation that a person would be grievously harmed or die.

Some people argue that, if you say that you can't breathe, you can obviously breathe, if you can say the words.
Still the person has a point, that is they have difficulty breathing and may soon stop. Officers should take heed even if the majority of suspects are trying to run yet another con.
I believe that many suspects have been using that line since 2014 or before. It is like crying wolf and officer hear it often when a great majority are faking. It makes officers callous.
Has any psychologists measure the corrosive affect of suspects lying to officers? Many psychiatrists quit the field because they can't take the TMOI after awhile. Is it the same for officers and should the be medically discharged with a pension of be given a desk job? IMO too many people discount the rigors of the job and think cops are like soldiers and "it is their's to do and to die and not to question why." Our HR for police and the military based on a 19th century Tennyson poem and not psychological studies.
After Chauvin checked the pulse and felt no pulse he did not get off the knee and start CPR? WTF? 2 minutes makes a difference. That right there is what is going to convict him. Not anything before.
Floyd might have died anyway because of an exploding balloon in his ass filled with drugs. I can see why the DA, Ellison and other nefarious people would want to hide the truth.
"Schiff received pressure from Richard Grenell, the Acting Director of National Intelligence (ADNI) to release the transcripts. One transcript was from Crowdstrike’s Shawn Henry who stated under oath that Crowdstrike had no evidence that Russia even “exfiltrated” the emails from the DNC. The whole ‘Russia stole the DNC emails and sent them to WikiLeaks’ story was a fraud."
I have been involved in numerous computer science projects since the 1980s, as well as developing numerous web projects since 1996.
These blogs are a summation of all the information that I read and catalog pertaining to the subjects that interest me.
