Shaun Tandon, AFP: How hot could US-China 'Cold War' get?

Tensions are mounting by the day between the United States and China, leading to talk of a new Cold War. Experts see important historical differences -- but believe the two powers are entering dangerous territory.

US President Donald Trump's administration has increasingly gone global against China, pushing other nations to reject its strings-attached aid and telecom titan Huawei, and siding unreservedly with Beijing's rivals in the dispute-rife South China Sea.

Trump has made China a major campaign issue as he heads into the November election, but the relationship looks unlikely to change in more than tone if he loses to Joe Biden, who has accused the president of not being tough enough.

China may have a Cold War with us, but we can't have a Cold War with China until we ask the Democrat Party "Mother May I"

Right now the Democrat Party is stuck on Russian Collusion.

After Trump is gone and the Collusion Lie is a moot point, we still cannot have a Cold War. Diane Feinstein and others are making too much filthy lucre.

WNU,
Sorry, I strongly disagree with you. China has learn from the cold war among USSR and USA and know that an other one with them on the same condition will be destructive to them. So, the only way for having a chance against the US is confrontation. Why? Because neither USSR nor USA want to have the risk of a nuclear war. Is America ready for it? China think it is not and it will be a game changer. Yes it is a "Hitler state of mind": democracy are weak and we have to take advantage of it. I strongly hope I am wrong, but I fear I am right.
