President Trump's Intel Briefer Speaks In A Rare Public Appearance

Politico: Trump’s intel briefer breaks her silence

In rare public remarks, the veteran intelligence officer tip-toed around the complexities of her job.

A career CIA officer explained in rare public remarks on Monday what she’s learned about adapting intelligence briefings to the unique style of a particular “customer” — in her case, President Donald Trump.

Beth Sanner, a senior official at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence who also serves as Trump’s primary intelligence briefer, never mentioned the president by name during an event hosted by the non-profit Intelligence & National Security Alliance on Monday.

But the unusual core challenge of her job — delivering intelligence to Donald J. Trump — was unavoidable as she discussed her own briefing techniques in detail, explaining that while she strives to be competent and fearless, she also tries not to be off-putting and aims to tailor briefings to a customer’s particular style.

Tailoring a message to fit the style of particular customer while not too toeing around things they might not want to hear is nothing new. Business people do this all the time when we make presentations.

Ms. Sanner's job is especially difficult as she represents an organization that is overrun with incompetent boobs and political hacks. POTUS is well aware of this. As the face of the organization with such a poor track record, she will need to work extra hard to establish such trust in her meetings with POTUS. Preparation for the meetings will be key as well. As a brilliant and thoughtful person POTUS will NOT appreciate someone trying to spoon feed him intelligence. He will call bulls!t where and when it is presented and US Intelligence has a long track record of such bill sh!t.

This leads to why the bounties report wouldn't have been reported to POTUS. Recognizing a bogus report and knowing they weren't going to be able to dupe POTUS they didn't include it. Now duping the American people and the media will be much easier.

"....Trump's singular resistance to hearing anything negative about Russia....." as quoted in the article, I disagree. I think the opposite is true. To many in the US government have a pathological obsession with stoking conflict with Russia and routinely go out of their way to do it. To make matters worse such bogus claims undercut crucial diplomatic efforts.
