Times of Israel: Israel Air Force prepares to train with Luftwaffe over Germany for first time
Monday exercise will be air force’s only international drill in 2020; Israeli aircraft to fly over Munich to mark 1972 Olympics massacre, and over Dachau to commemorate Holocaust.
The Israeli Air Force will take part in its first ever exercise in Germany on Monday, flying dozens of sorties with the Luftwaffe and other NATO countries’ air forces, over the course of two weeks, the military said.
This will be the only international exercise to which the IAF will send aircraft this year, in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
“This exercise has great strategic importance and has immense influence on the air force, the IDF, and the State of Israel. Israeli-German relations and the arrival of Israeli Air Force planes on German soil is a historic event,” the IAF said.

Now on the actual exercise. It is good for the Germans. They are training with people who have some combat experience. What is in it for the Israelis, when they train with Merkel's army of Wus. Did the Israelis provide the jets to the Germans so they could train?
Exercises with people form other countries promotes understanding and makes war less likely. That said politicians can completely overwhelm any such bridges built.

The Syrians did shoot down 1 Israeli jet,.. The Israelis claim that the pilot wanted to shoot his target 1st and then evade. That is the reason they give. Afterwards the Israelis changed tactics using more UAVs and stuff. They say SAM suppression against the Syrians is dicey. So it appears that while the Israelis got the upper hand it is no sure thing and it is still dicey.
