Update: Just watched Canada's top medical officer give a briefing on the Covid-19 pandemic. According to her .... she sees this health crisis continuing until January 2022. She is also worried on how this pandemic may behave this winter in Canada and elsewhere in the Northern Hemishpere.

You can divide a virus up into 2 or 3 parts. The inside and the outside.
The virus is a black box like in programming. In programming you do not care how a black box is coded so long as it works (that is what teacher say and they have a point. I have a few quibbles about it. Black boxes in programming are function, subroutines, or methods. The intercellular defenses of the body do not see what is inside a virus. It sees just the coating or capsid and the spikes. If the defenses sees something it does not like, it starts cycling hopefully like the incredible Hulk. There are only so many types of these surface proteins, spikes another things. Some design are good and some designs are bad. Some design are bad like the chauchat. You do not have to worry so much about the really bad variations. They are chumps and get taken out by most people very quickly.
We should think of many variations in virus builds in terms of Taguchi's quality loss function. That might be strange, but not all viruses are created equal.
Once inside a cell it is a harder fight. Zinc, remdesivir & steroids help. They used steroids for SARS. Steroids is a therapeutic and does not slow the virus. It just keeps the body's immune system form trashing the body. It prevents "We had to destroy the village to save the village. If you have COVID I'd take steroids. but not in the vein of "More is better" that is typical of America (& it seems Nigeria). HCQ helps get zinc into your cells.
I can't think of much that person can take to prevent clotting OTC. It is not like you can choose your parents so they passed on Type O to you. I have to reread the literature by a German doctor said the virus overwhelms aspirin. So all I can suggest is get you fasting blood sugar down. Or suffer the consequences.
