A package containing the poison ricin and addressed to President Donald Trump was intercepted by law enforcement earlier this week.
All packages addressed to the White House are sorted and screened at a secure offsite facility prior to delivery. Two law enforcement sources told CNN that two tests were done to confirm the presence of ricin.
The envelope to the White House was caught at the final offsite processing facility where mail is screened before being sent to the White House mail room.
Investigators believe that it was sent from Canada, a law enforcement official told the New York Times.

WNU Editor: I was always worried about President Obama and his safety. My nightmare was that he would be harmed and/or worse, and the unrest that would followed would scar the US for generations. I also worry about the safety of President Trump everyday. The fury from his supporters would also scar the US for generations.
Update: There appears to be a Canadian connection .... Letter with ricin poison sent to White House may have come from Canada: RCMP (CBC). I hope this is not true, but I would not be surprised. I live in Canada, and the anti-Trump rhetoric that is on the airwaves here is off the scale. Put it this way. When it comes to Trump the media coverage here is 100% negative.

3) Ferguson: Obama might not have directly stoked racial tension. He let his lieutenants like Eric Holder do it. The police man in Massachusetts got some sort of weaselly apology. The policeman in Missouri got no apology, no job and went into hiding. Michael Brown was a thug. I am glad my kids did not meet him.
People were bused or flown from Oakland, California, so Democrats could have their organic protests and riots. After the experience gained Democrat NGO's learned how to riot in several cities at once and fly rioters around the country.
