Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Says US Has Reimposed UN Sanctions On Iran

CNN: US has reimposed UN sanctions on Iran, Pompeo says

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Saturday evening that the US has reimposed UN sanctions against Iran, a move expected to be effectively ignored by global allies and adversaries alike.
The latest move is the latest in the "maximum pressure" campaign against Tehran -- one that has left the US largely isolated. It comes after the administration failed to extend the conventional weapons embargo set to expire next month under the Iran nuclear deal.

"The United States expects all UN Member States to fully comply with their obligations to implement these measures. In addition to the arms embargo, this includes restrictions such as the ban on Iran engaging in enrichment and reprocessing-related activities, the prohibition on ballistic missile testing and development by Iran, and sanctions on the transfer of nuclear- and missile-related technologies to Iran, among others. If UN Member States fail to fulfill their obligations to implement these sanctions, the United States is prepared to use our domestic authorities to impose consequences for those failures and ensure that Iran does not reap the benefits of UN-prohibited activity," Pompeo said in a statement.

"In a letter, three European parties to the nuclear deal and long-time US allies said any decision or action taken to reimpose UN sanctions "would be incapable of legal effect.""

"incapable of legal effect" sounds like what pallid people, who smell bad and are bureaucrats would say.

Sorry. Can't reply to your questions. I'd suggest you speak with a few Iranians. Better yet, anyone from any country in the area surrounding Iran. Or even better, I know you like being informed as your comments indicate, the Kurdish populace in the country itself. Then, of course, there's always Lebanon.

Hope these suggestions help. A little information may change the view of people around you. Think of the possibilities! For starters, anon, you'd have an actual name. Something higher on the social ladder unlike your current ones, Dumbbell and Meat Head.

Trump is remarkable persistent in attacking Chinese aggression. This embargo and sanctions is another dagger aimed right at the heart of Chinese communist power, their state controlled firms. Iran is a proxy for Chinese strategy to gain control of all the Arabian peninsula and adjacent waterways, and control over global oil trade.

There is no deal, so there is nothing to adhere to. The US pulled out, The Iranians also have pulled out. One has but to look at their enrichment.

So What are Britain, France, and Germany adhering to?

Does Britain want to consort with known whore (Germany and France)?

P5+1 is and always was a sham. There were only 2 actors in it, The US and Iran. All Russia and China had to do is what they have always have done in the UN. That is oppose the US let the US pay the bill, and slowly have the grains of sand slip from beneath the US until they are victorious.

Germany and France can be prosperous with or without selling to the Iranian Regime. If they cannot be prosperous with out selling to the Iranians, then maybe there should be new management there.

Fun Fact: Only 40% of Iranian are Muslim.
