Should The Anonymous Sources Accusing President Trump Of Calling Dead US Soldiers 'Losers' Go Public?

FOX News: Anonymous sources in The Atlantic's Donald Trump bombshell urged to go on the record

The story alleging the president disparaged fallen soldiers is getting intense scrutiny

There is a growing call for the anonymous sources who were cited in the bombshell report from The Atlantic to come forward and defend their damning claims against President Trump.

Trump and many from the White House staff have forcibly denied the allegations published in The Atlantic on Thursday evening alleging, according to four unnamed sources, that the president disparaged fallen soldiers buried at the Aisne-Marne American cemetery near Paris as "suckers" and the land was "filled with losers" back in 2018, in addition to trashing Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., following his death.

However, despite other media outlets "confirming" the reporting of The Atlantic Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg, a story this explosive and so close to the 2020 election is getting intense scrutiny from members of the mainstream media.

"Since Trump is now denying what ⁦@JeffreyGoldbertg has reported, his sources have a duty to go on the record and tell the voters first-hand what they saw and heard," Washington Post columnist Max Boot declared.

WNU Editor: The media campaign and advertising that quickly followed this Atlantic post tells me that this was all planned and coordinated. There are no facts behind the Atlantic post. All anonymous sources. President Trump's record on reforming the VA and keeping soldiers out of forever wars is well documented. His many unannounced visits to military cemeteries is also well known. If President Trump said all of these things years ago, it would have been made public long ago. This is a disgusting false attack on a President who is without question the most anti-war President ever in my lifetime.

For sure a canned attack, I expect the media and their masters in the Democratic Party have future attacks ready to unleash. Today is the third day of bad PR for Nancy Pelosi and the Dems, plus there was that ridiculous Joe Biden fart in Kenosha yesterday, heard on the video from his press conference.

So Atlantic unlimbers its artillery and shoots this misfire.

Let's go back and remember the disparaging remarks made by John Kerry and John Murtha about US troops.

Trump is a vindictive 12 year old, so I'd say 'No'. Who knows what sort of Trumptard will show up with a gun to these peoples' houses.

Well, he did call him a loser, and did say, on camera, he wasn't a war hero. But of course, feel free to deny he said all these things!

Murtha: “Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them, and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood.”

Kerry: "US Marines terrorize civilians in the night, y'know women and children"

And just to set the record straight, McCain was a fucking political disaster. The definition of a RINO backstabber. The most self-important moralizer in the Senate. Vindictive and hateful to his last breath. I never had any use for him.

If the "sources" had any manliness, they'd come forward and present themselves. They won't. Because this story in another steaming pile of fake news.

Difference between someone like myself (who supports Trump to win the Presidency) and someone like WNU Editor (and other die-hard trumpeteers on here) is I'm perfectly capable of seeing Trump for what he is, and am not blinded by sheep mentality to follow him over a cliff, that i can still acknowledge his faults, what he has said in the past vs what he hasn't said put forward by the fake media (which there is a lot of fake news).

This used to be a good blog, obviously conservative, which never bothered me; put what does irk me is the sheer absolute blind bias shown.

I've no idea if Trump said those things purported by the Atlantic post; what I do know is that Trump is saying he never called John McCain a loser (false, he did, and it is on camera) and he has made disparaging remarks about captured POW's among other comments (again on camera) and with all that said, the Editor of this blog can say with a straight face that he would likely view those comments as being taken out of context by the media (as he has done before in the past, said as much regarding Trump's more eccentric comments) while following his shadow.

My views on Trump is that I don't like him; he has the personality of a turnip, he is deeply flawed, yet despite those flaws, he currently represents the best of American interests on the global stage particularly when it comes to China and domestic instability.

But I'll never follow the man blindly and sing his praise at every step of the way, or turn a blind eye to his many many faults, and sometimes downright fabrication of what he has said in the past, by himself and the media.

Mary McGrory a Washington icon and one to whom they built a literal shrine to her in D.C. once wrote a column about how bad of a pilot George H.W. Bush, because he got shot down by anti-aircraft fire during WW2.

You can find the hit piece by Mary at her shrine.

You can read the truth in the book Flyboys

Trump said he did not like his 'war heroes' captured. McCain was captured. Is it a fair comment?

McCain was the son and grandson of admirals. Was he given an easier time in flight school?

McCain hotdogged one time in Spain and cut electricity to quite a few fold in Spain.

Maybe McCain got shot down because he was a shitty pilot?

'Risk-taker, daredevil': John McCain joked about his Navy flight record. He crashed three times

3 crashes and still flying?

How?

Son and grandson of admirals

In his most serious lapse, McCain was “clowning” around in a Skyraider over southern Spain about December 1961 and flew into electrical wires, causing a blackout,

Well Goldberg with his anonymous sources need to apologize. Bolton has come out and said the president has not said those things.

Goldberg a Democrat operative with a byline said that Mattis and Kelly do not want to come yotu because tweets on twitter might be mean to them.

Let's suppose it is true. Let's suppose that the knuckle dragging, feces flinging apes of the liberal left like Goldberg are not lying.

If Mattis and Kelly cannot take a tweet storm, how could they ever lead armies?

Let us call it what it is.

Goldberg is a damnable liar.

On the other side, however, there are many pieces of supporting evidence. The Associated Press, New York Times, Fox News (!) and Washington Post quickly confirmed Goldberg’s reporting. The Post added several related details, in addition to Trump describing fallen soldiers as “losers.” “In one account, the president told senior advisers that he didn’t understand why the U.S. government placed such value on finding soldiers missing in action because they had performed poorly and gotten caught and deserved what they got, according to a person familiar with the discussion.”

What’s more, other sources have claimed that Trump dismisses the value of military service. Michael Cohen testified in 2018 that Trump admitted faking bone spurs to avoid serving in Vietnam and told him, “You think I’m stupid? I wasn’t going to Vietnam.” Mary Trump, in a previously recorded interview, said Trump threatened to disown one of her sons if he enlisted in the military. (It’s significant that she offered this account before Goldberg’s story, and thus could not have crafted it to fit a narrative created by Goldberg.)

Trump’s denial itself contains provable falsehoods:

sure russ: like Lindeman? and lose a career
Are they denying it? NOPE

Anonymous said...

@7:22,
Lindeman, really lolololo. Keep up your stuff lololol.

Bolton already said it never happened.

Mattis and Kelly have enough money, retirement income and Washington DC backing that, if they are afraid ti come out, then they are cowards.

It didn't happen.

No way that Trumps enemies would have at on this for 2 years. No what happened is that the Dims read the polls went "oh shit" and started throwing everything against the wall to see if it would stick.
