Should Former Vice President Joe Biden Be Held To Account for His Decision To Not Support The Raid That Killed Osama Bin Laden?

National Review: Joe Biden Did Not Have the Guts to Get Osama bin Laden

When the time came for a gutsy call, the vice president said ‘don’t go.’

Joe Biden wants to run on Barack Obama’s record. Obama himself, speaking at the Democratic convention last month, glossed over Biden’s own record while reassuring listeners of Biden’s value as a wing man: “For eight years, Joe was the last one in the room whenever I faced a big decision.”

The single best moment of Obama’s presidency was the May 2011 raid into Pakistan that killed Osama bin Laden. It only happened because Obama ignored Joe Biden when he said, “Mr. President, my suggestion is, don’t go.” Biden is all too aware that he got the biggest decision of the Obama presidency wrong, which is why he changed his story years later to claim that he had actually supported the raid. That history is important to remember today, on the 19th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, as Biden seeks to become the next commander in chief.

There are any number of policy declarations, Senate bills, finger-jabbing statements and weird stories that Biden was a happy advocate for many years ago, but is against now. And vice versa.

He should be made to answer for these flip-flops without the aid of a teleprompter for once.

It's hilarious to me that the most powerful country in the world want to vote a person into office without even a debate.

This is, to me, the most important thing. To see how a person behave and react under pressure and without a teleprompter.

"1. He was NOT the president"

You want to win a booby prize for that statement? You might have noticed that little adjective of 'vice' included in front of President to describe Joe Biden and office holders.

"The extent of the roles and functions of the vice president depend on the specific relationship between the president and the vice president, but often include tasks such as drafter and spokesperson for the administration's policies, adviser to the president,"

Joe Biden was an adviser. He gave his advice. People are judge by their actions and their advice. When a persons; batting average on advice gets too low, you dump them.

2. Bush and gop did not kill him when they might have

President Bill Clinton did not find him when he might have. FTFY, you fuck.

"-- Hours before the 9/11 terrorist attacks, former President Bill Clinton told an audience in Australia about his missed chance to kill attack mastermind Osama bin Laden, according to audio released this week."

“I’m just saying, you know, if I were Osama bin Laden ... He’s a very smart guy. I spent a lot of time thinking about him. And I nearly got him once,”

- Bubba Clinton

After 9/11 bin Laden was hidden and protected by a hostile foreign Power, PAKISTAN.

"4. Such decisions are not elected decisions"

Only a diseased stupid fuck could utter #3 and #4 in the same breath. Question is what debilitating and ultimately fatal disease have you caught? Or do you not want to say?

These position are absolutely elected.

Otherise we would be ruled by the FED, Dr Fauci, the State Department, and the Pentagon.

0831, you are one dumb mother fucker.

"5. this post is simply a political misfire"

I agree that the 0831 post is typed by an idiot whose mother should have...

call all the names you need to, but VP Biden was NOT the one in charge and therefore this post is simply a silly attempt to make him look bad. The Democrats got OBL...not the GOP. The Democrats. Period. Now back to name calling CHUDS

Biden had no confidence in the intel? What evidence have you for that?
IN FACT HERE IS WHAT YOUR ANTI BIDEN SITE FAILED TO NOTE:

Biden explained that when it came time to make the final decision, he had some lingering uncertainties about whether the 9/11 mastermind was in the suspected compound in Pakistan. When the president asked his top advisers for their final opinion on the mission, all of them were hesitant, except for the former CIA director, now Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, Biden said. “Every single person in that room hedged their bet except Leon Panetta. Leon said go. Everyone else said, 49, 51,” Biden said, as he offered the unsolicited details of the decision-making process. “He got to me. He said, ‘Joe, what do you think?’ And I said, ‘You know, I didn’t know we had so many economists around the table.’ I said, ‘We owe the man a direct answer. Mr. President, my suggestion is, don’t go. We have to do two more things to see if he’s there,’” Biden recalled.

Biden has been a politician all his life the no-go call was the safe bet. I didn’t support President Obama but he got that call right. Sometimes you have to accept risk. Biden is a no-risk guy, he’s a poor choice for a chief executive
