Hillary Clinton has called on Congress to slash the Pentagon's budget and shift funding to 'domestic renewal' and foreign diplomacy, arguing that expensive weapons systems from the Cold War and war on terror are no longer needed.
In a lengthy essay published in Foreign Affairs magazine on Friday, the former secretary of state laid out her vision for restructuring U.S. defense spending, while accusing the Trump administration of mismanagement.

I'd imagine if there was a war and the US didn't have the fighter jets, tanks, and aircraft carriers they needed her answer would be "what difference does it make?"
A few comments
The defense budget is based on the Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR). The QDR is based on the relative capabilities and limitations of the US, its allies and out potential enemies. It is also based on models (i.e. wargames) conducted in the field with real hardware at the battalion to fleet level and on paper/computers.
Mrs. Clinton, who has a poly-sci degree, a JD, and a long rap sheet can show us how we can forego actual military forces for a time period without China and others taking advantage of it, she should be able write more than a one to three page essay where a lot is glossed over, hand waved, heuristically argued or assumed. She can do some war gaming or conduct some studies.
Hillary and he ilk are not going to revive the economy by banning fracking, The Green New Deal, progressive taxes, more regulations, and Wir Shaffen Das (Make it So). Wir Shaffen Das works in TV shows not real life. In real life you need electricians, engineers, accountants, MBA's, chemists and physicists not poly sci, communications and journalism majors.
Those latter 3 majors should be sent a 劳改 on Baffin Island in Nunavut for the survival of the species.

On top she destroys subpoenaed evidence on large scale and her Clinton foundation pay to play scheme, her real, video taped health and energy issues.
Come on. She must be dreaming if she thinks she's got a majority backing her in a pipe dream .. only reason is to stay relative, take heat off her countless crimes and hopefully soon concluding investigations that ideally end in prison time for treason and a real attempted coup. Together with Comey, Obama, Brennan and the rest of the cabal who conspired to and then executed a plan to overthrow a duly elected president.

Countless people with white skin colour and red hat colour were intimidated and beaten in the aftermath of the comments of these two female "leaders". No thank you.
