This is your nation and culture as designed by chieftains.

I read a short discussion on chiefs in a hobby magazine. It was a hobby magazine so big whup. Okay, whatever. But there was one salient point that is important. The author wrote that the chieftain got power by giving away money or what passed for money in the days of plunder. In fact chieftains gave away most everything they got. It is how they maintained their power. That and beating surrounding tribes over the head successfully.

They gave almost everything away and yet they were the richest people in the tribe. Consider that.

The Chieftains became earls, dukes and kings. That morphed into politicians.


So now politicians are giving out COVID relief monies I live in a very large state. They were bragging about giving out 50 million in relief. Just 50 million.

These are the same people that target barbers and beauticians with drones. Bureaucratic drones, but still drones.

We've returned to the political/electoral spoils system of the 19th century. We were never pure (totally non-corrupt) but we were a lot closer than the direction we have moved.
