WASHINGTON — A majority of Americans say they don’t trust what President Trump has said about his health since testing positive for Covid-19 earlier this month, according to new data from the NBC News|SurveyMonkey Weekly Tracking poll.
Fifty-two percent of adults say they don’t trust what Trump has said, while 38 percent say they do trust what the president has reported on his health.
Trump announced that he tested positive for the coronavirus on Oct. 2 — however, neither the president nor anyone in the White House or campaign has said when the president last tested negative prior to that date. White House physician Dr. Sean Conley said on Oct. 12 that the president had tested “negative” for the virus on consecutive days and was no longer a transmission risk.

WNU Editor: The media narrative since March has been that if you get this disease, the health impact would be substantial or worse. Now we have President Trump running around just two weeks after leaving the hospital with Covid-19 doing rallies. How can that be? I am just surprised that it is only fifty-two percent of adults who say that they do not trust President Trump's statements on his health. I expected a higher number. As to what is my opinion? I had a severe case of H1N1 in 2010 that took me out for months. So I know too well on how these diseases can impact your health. I personally think President Trump is still dealing with the impact of his infection, and he is probably exhausted. Rushing around doing 3 or 4 rallies a day while running the country. I do not know how he does it, especially after Covid-19. But he is doing it. What a contrast from his contender who has been barricaded at his home for the past four days. And the world is noticing these differences between the two candidates. Is the American public also aware of this? I do not know.

Actually anyone who has seriously studied this realizes that the overwhelmingly vast majority of people who contract this have very little problem with it. President's Trump's experience should be a teaching moment for all of us. This is "how he does it." He isn't nor ever was seriously ill.
While we may not trust POTUS to be truthful about his health, I would tend to trust his doctors who have cleared him. If he were not healthy, they would almost certainly speak up as it would be their medical licenses that would be in jeopardy. I find it interesting that the media likes "experts" that fit their agenda and such experts are even elevated to cult like status (Dr. Fauci) but "experts" whose conclusions or ideas that do not fit their agenda are shunned or worse they are viciously attacked.
It should be noted that acknowledgement that the overwhelming majority of people have no problems with this disease is not callous but is the situation. With this in mind is how policy should be set. For what its worth I know someone who was seriously ill from this and could have died but this is the very rare exception. We will all die of something someday and COVID-19 is but a minor threat in the grand scheme of things. As some has said, the disease is real. The hype is manmade.
The ability to headline rallies standing on his feet for prolonged periods of time and give speeches shows that he is not physically weak.
This is NBC news doing a survey monkey poll. Using that as the basis for making the claim about how the public in total think and feel is ridiculous.
