President Trump Tells Iran Not To ‘F**k Around With Us’ On Radio Show

Sputnik: Listen: Trump Tells Iran Not to ‘F**k Around With Us’ on Conservative Radio Show

During an extensive radio interview with conservative host Rush Limbaugh on Friday, US President Donald Trump threatened Iran in explicit language.

On what was apparently a Friday morning free from official obligations, Trump phoned in to Limbaugh’s talk radio show and spoke for nearly two hours about a wide range of topics, including his administration’s ongoing confrontation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“Iran knows that and they’ve been put on notice: if you f**k around with us, if you do something bad to us, we are gonna do things to you that have never been done before,” Trump told Limbaugh. Around With Us’ on Conservative Radio Show

WNU Editor: That is what I call being blunt.

Being blunt prevents misunderstandings.

Misunderstandings have caused wars before.

This is part of what I like about Trump. While anon at 5:17 has nailed it, if Iran wants a war, maybe Trump has just given them the casus belli for initiating a shooting one. In this respect, I don't like this about it. Perhaps the term "double edged sword" applies here. Also, right before election time especially given the mood of the American people towards war right now and for the foreseeable future any type of armed conflict involving the United States will cause the electorate to turn against POTUS and his political party no matter who he may be. Essentially, if I were an enemy of America and didn't like the POTUS in power a month before the election, I would seriously consider trying to get the United States involved in a shooting war as I know such an action all but assures the defeat of this POTUS as the American people will turn on him.

Now the polls tell us that Trump is losing badly and that his defeat is all but certain. The operative question is can we trust these polls? If these polls are trustworthy, the man the Iranians hate is going to be gone anyway in January and post election he will essentially be neutralized without any power except to reside in the White House but will have no say over any foreign or domestic decisions. In such an environment, the costs of a shooting war may outweigh the benefits of getting the POTUS you don't like out of office. Without inside information there's no way to "know" for certain what the various parties are thinking.

Of this we should be certain, Iran is a very powerful country with very powerful and numerous allies. Furthermore I would not expect any of our traditional "allies" to back us up on this. While perhaps POTUS is correct that we can do certain things to Iran, they can do bad things to us as well. Such a war has no certainty of a US victory and US casualties even extending to significant casualties on the US mainland. IMHO an easy prediction: any military action launched against Iran that actually threatens the government's survival will result in an Iranian retaliation that results in far more dead Americans within a few hours than COVID-19 has killed or will ever kill.

Maybe we need to go to war with Iran. Maybe it is the only option. We may very well "win" but the victory will be very costly. While bluntness is sometimes good, POTUS and any other US leader need to think through these things very carefully.

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
signifying nothing.

Are his diapers full?

Poster, I'm not so sure Iran's current head of government and his immediate entourage have unlimited support.
And I'm inclined to believe the reimposition of sanctions is viewed as a warlike, though not warring, move by America.
Agree with your comments to an extent. They can do things in a not visible manner. As in spooks and such. Not that we can't engage in the same should the situation call for "feedback".

If so he's merely imitating you.

Today would also be a good opportunity to deploy the "C word"...probably still waiting for the right opportunity.

Actually I am scared of their missiles. We should be cautious. But the air force and navy have a cure for that. Cruise missiles and stealth. then the ship come closer.

Years ago, when Obama losing in preelections polls, Trump said Obama would start a war to get ahead and win. And now....Iran?

AJ: to be blunt, you are a mindless ideologue. If we follow you 100s of millions of Americans die and we probably lose the overall war. In other words very few of us actually survive if any of us actuality do. Stalin and his wife are long dead and have nothing to do with this!!
