The chairman of the House Armed Services Committee says he opposes proposals by progressive Democrats to cut the Pentagon budget by as much as 20% if that party takes the House, Senate and White House on Election Day.
Rep. Adam Smith, D-Wash., said he is "open to debate" on the subject of Defense Department funding but favors a flat budget or slight reductions over massive cuts designed to shift money to other federal programs.
Smith said the Democrats need a strategy that upholds national security to justify any reductions in defense spending.
"It can't just be, 'Well, I'd like to spend the money elsewhere,'" Smith told reporters during a virtual meeting Wednesday. "I want a conversation about what's the strategy, what's the plan, going forward. And yeah, I see a big fight coming."

So Old Joe, his successor (the whore Camel Toes), her successor or her handlers will keep IS forces in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria etc, while there is a missile gap (hypersonic), etc.
What will happen?
What will happen is obvious. These mother fuckers will cut R&D, procurement and force structure. Force structure will be cut and people will have to do multiple tours creating unbelievable stress resulting in divorce, alcoholism, dug addiction and worse.
Then they will turn around with a straight face and ask why this is happening in the military and some will opine it is because the are a lower class of people.
Cutting force structure and keeping the operational commitments will be treating the military like cops are being treated in blue cities of blue states.
Absolutely brilliant minds will in 4 to 8 years after the cuts come up with brilliant solutions that are cutting edge and never seen before of more R&D and procurement to meet the Chinese and Russian threat.
I remember a SCIAM special edition about IQ. The take away of one article was that to have high IQ or be considered high IQ you had to be able to keep 20 items in resident memory.
So if these liberals and Silicon Valley tycoons are going to jerk our chain, cut the military and then have to rebuild it in 4 to 8 years after their excesses and all of this is foreseeable, how really intelligent are these fools?
