Reuters: Europe daily coronavirus cases double in 10 days, reports 200,000 daily cases for the first time
Oct 22 (Reuters) - Europe's reported coronavirus cases more than doubled in 10 days, crossing 200,000 daily infections for the first time on Thursday, according to a Reuters tally, with many Southern European countries reporting their highest single-day cases this week.
Europe reported 100,000 daily cases for the first time on Oct. 12.
Europe has so far reported about 7.8 million total coronavirus cases and about 247,000 deaths, according to a Reuters tally.
European countries like Italy, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia reported their highest single-day coronavirus cases on Thursday.

I remember not so long ago the Europeans were raking us over the proverbial coals regarding our response to this. Look at them now. As has been said, "pride comes before the fall " and the hubris of these Europeans is extreme.
While we have seen spikes in the US, this is due entirely to increased testing contact tracing, and miscountung for political purposes. In other words, if we behaved like a normal country in these areas, our credit go WAY DOWN and QUICKLY.
While China has been less than forthcoming or helpful with regards to the virus and certainly should be held to account, the primary problem is the lockdowns not the virus. China did not order our leadership to do this.
Anon 910 has it entirely correct. Fauci once praised Trump. The egotistical chump had to praise Trump. Trump slavishly implemented his policies at least through the end of May. So the failure Trump is blamed for is Fauci's but obviously Trump foolishly took advice from him and Birx.
It is even more out of control in the U.S.
