I've noticed their "slow walking" the vaccine. The FDA isn't even going to take this up until 12/10!!
Lockdowns didn't work before. They won't work now. One definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.
Are our leaders insane? Perhaps. There is another possibility. Perhaps the goal is to cripple us economically. Maybe it's a two front war. On the one hand, the Chinese release the virus which isn't a significant threat except to a few people. There propaganda on this was quite amateurish. Of course it didn't need to be very good as the fix was already in and they knew it. The second front in the war is "lockdowns" as instituted by our government officials working in concert with China. Hopefully this analysis is wrong.
In any event, the virus is bad. The government's response is far, far worse. If China needs to be confronted, we must first get the knee of government off of our necks with these "lockdowns" and the threats of them that they hang over us like a "sword of Damocles."
There will be some sort of terrible accounting for all of this.
This bad news is true, Where I live the death toll is so high they dug mass graves at the play ground of a local grade school and interred 5 whole classes of young uns, who died at the school over the course of a fortnight.
I don't know how future generations of chilrun are going to be able to play there knowing what lies beneath.
12/10 is fast. You should see government workers. They graze all day like cattle slowly moving across a pasture. People bring in food or candy of birthdays, holidays or no occasion at all and these people are munching around the clock much as bovines chewing their cud.
11/20 to 12/10 is 3 weeks. If you add in the pre-election slow walk by a drug company. you are talking about 6 weeks or a month and a half.
They could go over facts and figures in week maybe even 3 days. They don't care because there is no emergency. If it was a choice between moving fast and reviewing the data or being furloughed with a check, you would see fast action.

Live in a blue state. We got locked down all over again,because the goober has higher political aspirations and he wants to show the beautiful people that he is a team player.
Last time goober locked down the state, his daughter was caught at a party with a bunch of other young people. When it was brought to his attention, he used the excuse that family use to be not brought into politics and got all indignant. Also heard that his family is going to Florida, a non-lockdown state, to escape the lockdowns he is imposing just like last time.

Yet you hurl insults at me. Did I strike a nerve somewhere? If you want to discuss the editor's post, I'm all eyes. Perhaps you want to state the case for lockdowns? If you are merely going to troll, please don't waste the time of serious readers.
Now as anon 8:07 points out there's nothing in the actions of our leaders that indicate this is a serious issue. Furthermore they have yet to male a single sacrifice for the cause.
Anon 8:26 has nailed it. One set of rules for the elite and one set of rules for the rest of us. COVID is very real and can kill but the threat has been hyped for political purposes.
