The U.S. Army Wants ‘Telepathic’ Soldiers

Soldiers wearing specialized gear. US Army

The Army is said to be spending millions on neuroscience that could lead to ‘telepathic’ soldiers.

The goal is to build a system that would allow soldiers to communicate via their brain signals.

So far, ARO neuroscientists have reportedly been able to decode and put back together behavioral signals from the brain.

They focused on monkeys for their recent research. ARO program manager Hamid Krim told C4ISRNET: “Here we’re not only measuring signals, but we’re interpreting them.”

The next stage is to try and decode other types of brain signals.

WNU Editor: We are still a long way from having such technology deploy.

Reminds me of the '60s spy show 'The Champions' about telepathic spies working for a British espionage organisation called Nemesis. Top drawer thrills n spills. Keep ducking 🙉

That's a really bad idea. How many crazy random thoughts go thru your head every minute.🤯🤯😖

Lol, in the middle of a firefight a song gets stuck in your head. Or the girl you knew in school.🤷

If the military wants it then start with who needs it, the putative CINC.

The idea is of course that you select and pick from predefined messages you'd use in typical combat type scenarios that require silence
Also there will be a filter to prevent soldiers from sending a last message before death. .for morale
