Not worried about those. It is all old people. I am more worried about the daily or nearly daily shot spotter alerts. Pandemic or no pandemic shootings over drug activity haven't stopped. At least I hope it is over drugs. I'd hate to think it was for no reason. Locally, there are as many or more murders than a typical year. So pandemic?
Naturally, since traffic is down due to the plandemic, people thing they can drag race down main street. Four people detailed to negotiate a curve. Same people as are involved in the shot spotter alerts.
I am more worried about an accident at an intersection. It was a rollover accident with a fore and a death on the scene. So I google map it, to see what the area looked like. I figured it was on the downhill part of the road. No, it was hill top. It was flat, level with good lines of sight. So I guess DUI or distracted driving.
Someone had to be turning, turning at the wrong time. Looking at the area they were probably turning into there are a whole bunch of nursing homes and LTC facilities. So was the person turning was a nurse or a CNA and did they have COVID? Not enough to be sick, but enough to fog the brain. The traffic death could actually be a real COVID death.
Sad thing is, the public is never going to know one way or the other. The local newspaper (air quotes) is so bad that you would not get less news, if it was read at the top of the hour on the radio.
On balance, in terms of life years (a term that medical professionals use and Biden advisor Zeke Emanuel abuses) there are locally as many Black life years lost as those of senior citizens dying of or with COVID. See how easy it is to throw black people away? Democrats do it in heart beat when they think they have a winning issue.
