COVID-19 vaccine program head Dr. Moncef Slaoui said the first Americans to receive a coronavirus vaccine could get it as soon as December 11.
'Our plan is to be able to ship vaccines to the immunization sites within 24 hours from the approval, so I expect maybe on day two after approval on the 11th or the 12th of December,' he said on 'State of the Union' with Jake Tapper.
Pfizer submitted an emergency use authorization application to the Food and Drug Administration and a committee there is set to meet on December 10.

Update: First Americans could get COVID-19 vaccine by December 11, top health official says (Reuters)
WNU Editor: As much as the Biden administration wants to decide on how this vaccine program will be administered, and even issuing warnings that many Americans may die because of the White House .... Biden Covid advisor says more people ‘will get infected and die’ the longer Trump delays transition (CNBC). It looks like the decision has already been made without them.
On a side note. I remember at the beginning of the pandemic all the specialists and experts in developing vaccines were saying that it would take a year and a half or more to develop a coronavirus vaccine, and even longer to manufacture and administer one. That there was also a very good chance that one may not even be developed.
It looks like they were wrong.
Will anyone now call this the Trump vaccine?

Will anyone call this the "Trump vaccine?" If it's effective andcthere aren't adverse side effects, then I don't think the media or there fellow travelers will extend any credit to Trump.
This has been rushed through extremely fast. There may be variables the researchers couldn't anticipate. If this turns out badly, expect Trump to take the blame.
Here's the Coronavirus Vaccine Maker That's Most Likely to Blow Past Pfizer and Moderna
There's at least one very loud voice that will make sure everyone hears - repeatedly and often - that it is indeed the Trump Vaccine.
If the roll out is almost 40 full days before a Biden immaculation and his drooling over a microphone, ti will be hard for him to claim credit. He will try nonetheless.
We could have had the vaccine 2 weeks earlier maybe more but people dragged their feet for political reasons.
1:19 looks like a Fred post. WTF cares with as much as he has nastily trolled in the past.
fred sez suck on this:
THE WALLS are beginning to close in a bit on President DONALD TRUMP. A FEW HILL REPUBLICANS are inching closer to reality in acknowledging that TRUMP’s presidency is coming to a close.
HOUSE REPUBLICAN CONFERENCE CHAIR LIZ CHENEY of Wyoming set herself apart from her leadership colleagues in telling TRUMP to put up or shut up. It’s a noticeable divergence from KEVIN MCCARTHY, the top House Republican who is one of the president’s staunchest allies. Whether she means it or not, CHENEY has periodically put space between herself and the top of the House GOP leadership. (In our experience, few people distance themselves from their colleagues by mistake.)
-- CHENEY’S STATEMENT: “America is governed by the rule of law. The President and his lawyers have made claims of criminality and widespread fraud, which they allege could impact election results. If they have genuine evidence of this, they are obligated to present it immediately in court and to the American people. I understand that the President has filed more than thirty separate lawsuits. If he is unsatisfied with the results in those lawsuits, then the appropriate avenue is to appeal. If the President cannot prove these claims or demonstrate that they would change the election result, he should fulfill his oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States by respecting the sanctity of our electoral process.”
SEN. PAT TOOMEY (R-Pa.) -- who is not running for re-election -- took it a step further, saying that TRUMP has “exhausted all plausible legal options to challenge the result of the presidential race in Pennsylvania.” TOOMEY congratulated BIDEN and KAMALA HARRIS for being elected. Toomey’s full statement … AP/Harrisburg, Pa.: “In blistering ruling, judge throws out Trump suit in Pa.”
LONGTIME MICHIGAN GOP REP. FRED UPTON to DANA BASH on CNN’s “INSIDE POLITICS”: “You know what? The voters have spoken. No one has come up with any evidence of fraud or abuse. All 83 counties have certified their own election results. Those will be officially tabulated or should be tomorrow. We expect that that process move forward and let the voters, not the politicians speak.”
Knew I saw a Clerky footprint 1:19. Now we got a Clerky buttprint at 3:21
Liz Cheney talking about rules of law LMAO
I think POTUS and his team have given up on 2020. The focus now is on the 2022 midterms and 2024. What is going on is positioning.
We gave up on you a long time ago troll.
I'm tempted to give up on you as well. Part of the problem with addressing anonymous posters is its hard to tell who I am actually addressing.
It appears to me as though the current legal wrangling by POTUS and his team at this point is merely going through the motions. Perhaps given the close nature of this election they owe itvto the millions of people who voted for them to exhaust all optiins. After all, if the roles were reversed, I'd expect the Democrats to do exactly what Trump and his team are doing.
There appears to have been systemic irregularities that benefited the Democrat candidate. Was it enough to change the outcome and can it be pruven beyond a reasonable doubt? Assuming it can doing so will take more time than is available between now and Innaguration Day. Essentially it appears to me they've guven up on 2020. The focus now appears to be on methodically building the case they've laid out for Democrat fraud while focusing on the 2022 midterms and the 2024 presidential election. I'm pretty sure there is also a heavy focus on the GA Senate race. They've written off the 2020 presidential race.
